ROG STRIX B550-F Gaming 4 minutes boot time

Hello everyone,

Sorry for the long story, but I'm trying to be as thorough as possible, hoping it will help find a solution.

So I've had this issue I believe well over a year now but I kinda got used to it and kinda lazy to figure out what the issue could be, but lately it's kinda getting on my nerves more and more. I have custom build gaming pc with an ASUS ROG STRIX B550-F Gaming mother board. This PC was build in a professional shop back in 2020 and consisted of the following, new products:

− 1x AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
− 1x Asus ROG Strix B550-F Gaming (WiFi)
− 1x Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML360R RGB + Arctic MX4
− 1x HyperX Fury RGB 16GB (2x8GB) 3200Mhz RAM
− 1x Samsung 970 Evo Plus NVMe M.2 SSD – 1TB
− 1x Seagate Barracda – 2TB
− 1x Corsair RM650 Gold

Only thing I didn't replace at the time was my graphics card, which is a NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1070. Wish I could afford to replace it but hey, it still works (kinda :P). Also, I have two 2TB HDD SATA-drives for storage that were in my old pc, I only use them to store some old pictures etc. When my pc was build, everything was fine and was working fine for a while. BOOT time was, idk, let's say 20/30 seconds tops? It was fantastic.

Somewhere along the way, and I have no idea what caused this issue nor can I pinpoint the exact moment when it occured, my BOOT time now takes just under 4 minutes (3:55min to be precise). I don't have that many apps on my PC, and even less that start up at boot, I've eliminated as mush as possible. I've updated my BIOS to the latest version, which took down my boot time from 4:30 min to just under 4 minutes. When I boot up and look at the BOOT LED's on the motherboard, first the DRAM LED glows, after that the CPU LED, followed by VGA LED and lastly the green BOOT LED. The DRAM, CPU and VGA LED's cycle quickly, like a second each. But the green BOOT LED stays on for 2:30 minutes. When the green BOOT LED turns off, on my monitor the ASUS ROG logo dissapears and the Windows logo comes in play, with a moving circle underneath indicating that the system is loading. It then takes another minute or so before I get into the login screen, where I can finally type in my password.

Lastly, I've logged my boot process using Windows Boot Logger, but when I share this log my post gets marked as spam, so if someone has any idea how I can share my log let me know please.

Does anyone know what could be causing my boot time and how I could fix this?

Hello @Sohopunk

Thank you for reaching out to us.
When you remove all the SSDs and HDDs, clear CMOS, and boot the system, is the time to enter the BIOS shortened?
Based on your description, it’s possible that an issue with the SSD/HDD is causing a longer POST process.
We recommend checking for any firmware or driver updates for your drives and trying a system reset while keeping your files.
If possible, please try backing up your important data and cross-testing with another system drive to rule out potential hardware issues.

Thank you.
