Lets start with current components

BeQuite (BQ) case

BQ Dark Power 13 1000

obviously the z790

i9-14900k

Corsair Vengence DRAM

This is a new build. Was warned of bios issues with the gen 14s, so unpacked attached MB to power supply and flashed bios via USB. Tried to boot no POST, installed 1 stick in slot 2, no POST, added CPU to the 1 stick, no POST,  Took it all apart and reseated everything again.. amber light on DRAM but still no POST. Swapped single stick at a time, still no POST. RMAed board. Then did all the same on the new board.. GUESS WHAT .. NO POST.

The machine will power on and the RGB will glow, it will tell me if RAM is seated or present. Thats about it.

No output to onbaord HDMI, nor any thing happening with keyboard plugged into onboard USB2 slots.

Not my 1st build, i'm sure its an ID 10 T error,  but tired of fighting and RMAing stuff.

Hello @doc91b2p

Thank you for reaching  out to us.
Based on your description of the issue, "amber light on DRAM but still no POST," it appears to be more related to memory compatibility or stability concerns.
Could you kindly provide the part number of the Corsair Vengeance module currently installed?
We recommend referring to the guidelines in [Motherboard] ASUS motherboard troubleshooting via Q-LED indicators and ensuring that the memory module you are using is listed in the memory QVL for the ROG STRIX Z790-A GAMING WIFI II.

Thank you.

Due to the local holidays, my responses may be slightly delayed.
