ROG Maximus z790 Hero - Code 53 - No Boot

My brand new build (below) doesn't want to boot after a windows update.

It allowed me to open windows as normal after i inserted the brand new 4070 ti super oc yesterday, then Windows wanted some updates downloading and installing.. I did this.. Then it wanted to restart as per usual and since that restart it no longer boots giving me the q code 53 and no outputting image. It also gives me a red exclamation mark on the H170i Elite LCD screen.
I have removed the ram, cleared the cmos on the rear panel, re-inserted one stick of ram in the A2 position, still nothing. I have tried with a completely separate brand of ram in the same port and still nothing.
I have downloaded the latest BIOS update and tried to do a BIOS Flashback as instructed in the manual, still nothing and the BIOS back light doesn't even light up when holding for 3 secs or longer (as explained in the manual).

After removing the CMOS Battery towards the bottom of the motherboard (with the power off and unplugged), re-seating all of the power connections and then plugging the IEC back into the PSU and switching on, then press the start button, it boots up with all fans working but no longer outputs an image on either the onboard graphics or the 4070 Ti Super OC, the keyboard is non usable to be able to enter the BIOS with F2 or Del and it just sits there powered on with no way of being able to diagnose the problem.
I'm at a bit of a loss here.

The next step in my mind is to contact the seller (ebuyer) and request to see what they would do or just request a replacement.

As I said, I was using it perfectly fine after installing the GPU yesterday when I received it, Windows recommended updates, I updated. It recommended restarting due to the updates, I restarted and now here we are.

Hello, @nath_le

May I ask, apart from Q-code 53, are there any other Q-LED indicator lights on when the boot failure occurs?
Could you confirm if your current memory is listed in the ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO QVL, and is it a set of four modules or one module installed in each of the four slots?
Kindly refer to the "purchasing and installation guide" to confirm if your settings are correct as well.

Meanwhile, we suggest conducting a bare test in an isolated environment with only the CPU installed on the motherboard and using onboard graphics for output, installing a single RAM module in the DIMM_A2 slot, and connecting the PSU to verify if the system boots successfully.
If necessary, please cross-test with other memory modules.

Thank you.

Hello,

There are some codes which come up on the QCode display and they are 00, 04, 7F, 31, 14, 15, 27, 00 and finally 53.
The memory modules I have came as two sets of 2x 16GB and are on the QVL. The part number is KF560C36BBEAK2-32 .

I have performed the boot sequence as you’ve suggested there with nothing plugged in or attached to the motherboard except the CPU, a stick of RAM in A2 and a HDMI to the onboard graphics port and it still cycles through these numbers and produces no image and stays stuck on code 53. I have cycled through each of my 4x sticks of RAM individually in slot A2 to no avail.

What would be the next suggestion? Contacting Ebuyer to request a replacement under warranty?

Thank you for your help so far!

Hello, @nath_le

Due to the ongoing local holidays in our area, my response time may experience delays.
I apologize for any inconvenience the delayed replies may have caused.

Thank you for the update.
Could you confirm your current BIOS version?
If you haven't updated to the latest version 2301 released on May 30, 2024, please consider updating and clearing CMOS before rechecking again.
We recommend cross-testing with memory from the QVL.
If the issue persists despite trying a bare-board test, updating the BIOS, and using the RAM module in QVL, please contact your dealer to arrange for repairs and further hardware diagnostics.

Thank you.
