ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO BIOS 2503 - Slow Boot / Post times

Sentinal13
Level 9

Prior to updating to the latest BIOS my BIOS start times were sub 13 seconds on a restart, after this latest update to 2503 and 0x129 my Bios start time is +16 seconds with the same settings. This delay is even more pronounced when I try and access my bios using delete or F2 it appears to continue doing something in the back ground and takes an absolute age to get into the settings. Previously it was near instantaneous to get into the bios settings.  Has anyone else experienced these sorts of issues or any pointers ?

I'm seeing even more delay on a 13900K and Asus ProART Z790 Creator Wifi.  the past 2 bios updates have increased my boot time to the bios POST screen over 100 seconds.  No resetting bios or unplugging things has brought it back.  everything seems to work fine otherwise

same here. it's been like a week.
I updated the bios for the micro code 0x12b but it does not change anything.
I went from 7 - 12 sec to 30-40 seconds.....

Build: Z790 dark hero / i9 14900ks / 98Go ddr 6800 corsair.

the new Version 2703 has been released has anyone tried this yet ?

I just tried it and boot times are nearly as fast as 2402. So apparently my system hardware, which according to Asus was the issue and not their BIOS update, has miraculously fixed itself.  They make no mention of improved or fixed boot times in the change notes of the new BIOS.

I am still in the bad books with my girlfriend so I am having to do chores before I can sneak up into my man cave

I just did and it makes no differences. Still around 30secs to post

What time did it used to take ?

Bios version 2402 WDR 1'   Pwr to windows 55"  Bios time according to task manager 12.3".

New bios version 2703  Windows Desktop Restart  1'20"   Power on to Windows 1'05"   Bios time according to task manager  14.5"

Pressing Delete or F2 is now back as it has always been which was the reason I dropped back to 2402, it always seems a bit scary if you cant get into the bios, I dont know why..  Going to test this one for a bit,  All settings are back to my ones I posted previously,   Strange how support always blame everything except the bios, when nothing else has changed
