ROG Maximus Z790 Hero - 128GB RAM problem BIOS 0904

Hi,

My PC and all WIN 11 drivers are up to date, but I can clearly see that the motherboard has serious problems supporting more than 64 GB RAM. The extra memory (over 64GB) is detected by BIOS but I get memory errors from both Windows memory diagnostics and the memtest86 app which comes with the motherboard BIOS. Do you know if ASUS is about to release a new BIOS version to fix this problem?

Current configuration
CPU: i9-13900K
Memory: Kingston Fury Beast Black XMP DDR5 6000 MHz
GPU: ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4090 24GB OC Edition
OS: WIN 11 22H2 (all updates)
BIOS: 0904 with Intel ME version 16.1.25.2020

Hello, @georggr

I apologize for the delayed response.
Could you please clarify if the problem of displaying over 64GB occurred after clearing CMOS?
If you install only one or two memory modules, does the displayed capacity show correctly?
May I ask if the abnormal display was observed in the BIOS or any specific software?
Please provide a complete screenshot of the capacity problem.

Thank you.

Due to the ongoing regional holidays, my responses may be slightly delayed.
Thank you in advance for your patience.‌‌‌‌ 🙂
