Rog Maximus Z690 Extreme Glacial RBG Issue?

Hi,

I have a Rog Maximus z690 Extreme Glacial and have had it for a couple of years. Recently, I have noticed an issue with the motherboards on board lighting.

When setting a colour profile that uses either Blue or Green only, then everything is fine. The moment I try any colour range that includes Red, all the lighting on the Motherboard flickers, irrespective of what lighting mode is used. I have tried everything,  including rebuilding Windows, etc. This problem persists when the colour scheme is set in the Bios or when the PC is switched off.

The common factor is the use of the colour red (either in part or full) lighting schemes that just use Green or Blue do not have this problem. Appreciate this is a minor issue but has anyone come across this before and could it point to some hardware issue with the RBG (specifically Red) on the board itself?

Latest BIOS firmware installed along with up to date Armory crate and associated drivers.

Hello @pete05uk

Thank you for reaching out to us.
Based on your description, it seems that reinstalling the system and Armoury Crate did not resolve the issue.
Could you please record and share the relevant logs for further verification?
For log operation steps, please refer to "Q5: What is App Diagnostics? (New Feature)" and ensure that you have confirmed and checked the "Record Log" option before proceeding with the steps to replicate the issue, such as the unsuccessful updating steps.
Please capture a video that shows the red settings and the LED flashing while recording logs, so we can better correlate the logs with the actual scenario.
After recording the log, please upload it to the cloud, approve access, and PM me the link.

Meanwhile, kindly provide the requested information below as well:
- the current BIOS version and screenshots of the BIOS main page and Armoury Crate update center
- the brand and model name of the CPU, DRAM, GPU, and PSU currently installed
- the OS version and OS build

Thank you.

As the local holiday is ongoing, there may be further delays in responses.
We appreciate your patience in advance.
