Hello,
I actually have several questions.
1.)
Currently, I occasionally have the problem that my system does not want to start. Most of the time it boots normally, but sometimes it gets stuck at Q-Code A0. After turning it off and on again, it works again with a BIOS POST message stating that the BIOS has started in safe mode.
What could be the reason for this?
My system specs are:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 7950X (ECO-Mode 105W)
MOBO: ASUS ROG Crosshair X870E Extreme (BIOS 1605)
RAM: Kingston Fury Beast DDR5-5200MHz 128GB (4x32GB @ 3600 MHz)
GFX: Sapphire Toxic AMD Radeon RX 6950 XT LE 16GB @ PCIEX16(G5)_1
WIFI: Broadcom BCM94360CD @ M.2(WIFI)
NVME1: WD Black SN850X 2TB @ M.2_1
NVME2: WD Black SN850X 1TB @ DIMM.2_1
NVME3: WD Black SN850X 2TB @ DIMM.2_2
SATA1: KingSpec P3 SSD 2TB @ SATA6G_1
SATA2: KingSpec P3 SSD 4TB @ SATA6G_2
SATA3: Seagate Exos 7E8 8TB @ SATA6G_3
SATA4: Seagate Exos 7E10 8TB @ SATA6G_4
2.)
The motherboard supports up to 256GB of RAM. Currently, 4x 64GB would be available.
My question is whether the board would also be capable of handling 2x 128GB modules if they become available sometime next year.
You often read that the AM5 platform has its little problems with full RAM configuration, instability, and of course, no EXPO support because it is a dual-channel system.
I need 128GB of RAM, 256 would of course be a dream. that as dual channel with full speed and stability. if possible. Please also include the upcoming 9950X3D2 CPU.
Should I rather go for 2x64GB? And which RAM can you recommend to me?
Thanks a lot in advance.
greetings, Kay
