ROG CROSSHAIR X870E EXTREME PCIE 5.0

I'm currently running a ROG CROSSHAIR X870E EXTREME motherboard with a RTX 5090 gaming trio OC edition. When I run gpuz, it shows that my 5090 is running @16x3.0. I have updated my bios and set my lanes to gen5 but still doesn't run at full potential 16x5.0. Is there another setting I should check?

would appreciate any advice with this!

Hi @laneymae19

1. Are you using a riser cable?

2. Ensure the PCIE_Alt switch is in the correct position

Hello laneymae19

At idle, it seems normal to lower the pcie speed.

My ASUS Prime RTX 5080 shows pcie x16 1.1.

Play a game and it should ramp up to pcie x16 5.0.
