I've been having issues with my sound while playing games. The PC freezes for a few seconds my RGB seems to reset, the AnimeMatrix sometimes freezes, and the sound drops out and  most of the time it does not come back. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

Hello, @techbear

May I ask if the situation you described happened after any changes were made?
For example, updating the BIOS or connecting an external device
Regarding the sound issue, could you specify whether the problem occurs when using speakers or headsets?
Kindly provide the current version of the audio-related drivers and confirm whether removing and reinstalling the drivers or cross-testing different ports or audio devices can help eliminate the issue.
Concerning the freeze and RGB reset issues, would clearing the CMOS help in resolving these problems?

Thank you.

@Jiaszzz_ROG Thank you for the reply. I resolved the issue, it seems that an internal USB hub was causing issues, I removed it and connected directly to the motherboard the sound crashing isssue stopped.

@Jiaszzz_ROG regarding this issue. It seems to be something that affects the sound, as well as the USB ports because this time when it happened again I had a portable hard drive plugged in and after the sound crash, file manage opened on it's own, which means the drive was disconnected and reconnected.

@Jiaszzz_ROG The problem occurs when I use speakers, I do not have headphones. Audio driver version 6.3.9600.2342.  I've reinstalled Windows twice and the issue has not resolved. The USB ports also reset (one time I had a portable HD connected and the file manager opened right after the sound died. The AnimeMatix also freezes. This would also be the reason the RGB resets, because it's all connected via USB including the sound.

@Jiaszzz_ROG Just a few updates since I have been testing things. Turning off In Game lighting effects seems to have stoped the sound card/USB/Matrix crashes. I played games for 2 days and nothing happened. Regarding the devices not found issue in Armour Crate and Anime Matrix freezing issue (after boot) I disconnected my Corsair AIO USB and the AnimeMatrix works fine everytime. Its a Corsair iCUE H150i Elite Capellix which was upgraded with a  iCUE ELITE CPU Cooler LCD Display Upgrade. So it seems I am facing multiple issues.

Hello, @techbear

Regarding the Armour Crate and Anime Matrix configuration issues, I have already responded to your other post:
Problems with Aura Sync/Anime Matrix/Armoury Crate
As for the audio problems, I am not entirely certain about the context of the audio issues you are currently experiencing.
Could you please clarify whether your speakers are connected to the rear panel ports of the motherboard or to the chassis?
Additionally, could you provide more detailed information about the specific scenarios and frequencies where the audio irregularities occur?
If you remove other external devices, does the situation improve?

Thank you.

Intel has finally rejoined the competitive landscape against AMD with its Z690 platform, matching high-end muscle with the ferocious Core i9-12900K CPU. The X670E has most VRM phases and is built for users who wish to overclock the CPU. X670 motherboards generally have much fewer phases compared to the previous X670E option. However, you can still overclock the CPU and experience no issues while working. This design change has led to the use of not only more expensive power designs, but these parts are also in short supply. The Z790 chipset offers an additional USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 port compared to the Z690, making it a better option for those with demanding peripherals that require fast data transfer speeds.

@smokerschef What does this have to do with my post? I've been having issues with my sound while playing games.
