Hello @Magnum_P_I_
Thank you for your inquiry.
After further consultation, we have confirmed that the Memory specifications listed in the user manual reflect the original release of the motherboard.
For updates regarding BIOS and additional support, you can refer to the Memory specifications on the ROG CROSSHAIR X670E EXTREME Tech Specs on the official website.
Additionally, ASUS have verified the motherboard for optimal stability and compatibility when paired with devices listed in the CPU/Memory QVL.
Filtering by RAM speed on the ROG CROSSHAIR X670E EXTREME MEMROY QVL page, the results are as follows: (depends on installed CPU)
For more information about memory overclocking, we also recommend reviewing the "purchasing and installation guide" on the same page, as well as Memory Kits - Overclocking and What You May Not Know.
Thank you.

8000 never stable , karhu / tm5 catch error at once, either zen 4/5. This 2 dpc limited, the only board you can do 8000 is Gene. Dont trust those advertisement, it wont true. You can found those people do 8000+ is in Gene, but not those Asus 2 dpc mobo, in 2 dpc board, booting never have problem, but non stable

Hello,
8K on 2DPC boards is indeed possible, but a good CPU is needed. As this is a substantial OC, there will be some hardware combinations that won't be able to achieve stability there, that's overclocking for you.
For the best chance of "plug and play" success, purchase memory kits further below the maximum validated ratio for the memory density you wish to run.

Use a SAME CPU in Hero and Gene, 8000 unstable (Error once in TM5/Karhu) in Hero, 8000 stable in Gene, thats the finding

We're talking about signalling. Different topology, more slots, vias. The CPU still plays a big part here...
8000MT on Strix.

My plan would be to use an R9 7950X3D CPU with the Crosshair Extreme board in combination with 2x32GB of Ram.
