Hello,
Need some old info on a great motherboard: Asus ROG Crosshair V Formula Z
When attempting to setup a sensor list (voltage in particular), after searching the internet for a couple of hours I have not been able to find a concise list of the IT8721F inputs.
Somehow, the system knows what the 3VSB (in-7) and VBat (in-8) inputs are (a possible standard?), but the others are a mystery. What makes it even more frustrating, is that the displayed voltages do not seem to match any of the voltages shown in the BIOS.
So, if some kind soul has that input tag list, I would appreciate a copy.
Thanks in advance,
Mark

Hello, @cLeRkS_TheDocto
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Could you please specify the exact configuration requirements you want to meet?
Are you referring to discrepancies between the voltage settings in third-party software and the BIOS within the system?
We cannot confirm the voltage detection method used by third-party software, which may result in differences between the two.
Thank you.

Thank you for the reply,
We cannot confirm the voltage detection method used by third-party softwareFair enough, all I am asking for is what you can verify - which inputs are connected to what voltages.
I can modify the labels on the software package to match what is really going on., but I need to know how it's actually connected to do that.:)
I just recovered from bumping the BIOS update button on the back of the motherboard while sorting out USB connections.
I'll have to be much more careful in the future.ThanksMark W. Farrellfarrell.mark.w@gmail.comNote: I know this is an old motherboard, but for me, it's been a great base for Linux Mint. I still need to install the AMD FX8320E.I believe that it's actually a brand new pull from finished computer stock. There are no signs of dust anywhere, even under the ROG protective film where it would have stuck. No scratches or scuff marks where you would expect them during mounting. The CMOS battery was sitting at just under 2.5V

I hope you are enjoying your holidays! It's nice to get away from things for awhile.
This is not an emergency. 🙂
Just to clarify:
There are several software packages that I am able to enter the text for whatever name I wish to give it. One of which is a a feature called a spice that allows me to see what is going on for temps, fan speed, CPU speed and so on, from the desktop. They all have an editable list of inputs/outputs that I am able to enter the desired name to my own liking. (see below)
What I do need, is a simple map of what Asus connected to each of the inputs. I can take it from there.
Thank you for your time and efforts,
Mark
