Just purchased a new 870E Hero mobo.
Config is:
Ryzen 7800X3D
GSkill 64Gb 2X D5 7200
ROG-STRIX-RTX4090-O24G-WHITE
ROG-THOR-1200P
ROG Strix Helios
Samsung 990PRO M.2 X 3
All cooling parts by EKWB
Please advise.
ARGB headers at bottom edge of board are dead - no output.
Motherboard intermittently reboots, no reason, no overtemps.
Windows sometimes does not start or requires several reboots.
Aura forgets its settings on upper ARGB header by RAM slots
All updates complete, no joy.
System crawling at speed, former system was i910900K.
USB C on rear of mobo panel - none work.
Mobo pulls 201w at most.
System is liquid cooled, no overtemps.
Also, Strix 4090OC is now dead. Worked for about 5 minutes and then dead. THAT REALLY MAKES ME ANGRY, BECAUSE LOTS OF $$$ DAMAGE BY THIS MOBO.
What to do about damaged 4090?
What to do about this motherboard - exchange at retailer?
