Re: Z690 motherboard wont let me undervolt.

Is it safe to do so? I couldn't find anything other than the undervolt protection. But that only applies when the pc is in runtime. This is what it will change. I'm not sure if there is a website to find specific settings for processors.

I would say, if you're going to switch to the ASUS profile, definitely set IA VR Voltage Limit to 1550 or even lower. You may also want to manually set power and current limits according to your CPU model. By default, ASUS profile doesn't set any limits.

Hello @Karmageddon32

For BIOS instructions and setup recommendations for your model, please refer to [Motherboard] Intel 13th and 14th Gen K-Series Processor Stability Improvement with Latest ASUS BIOS....

Could you please clarify the specific usage needs or situations that require you to undervolt and what outcomes you hope to achieve by adjusting certain settings?
Please provide the following information so we can better understand your setup needs:
- an image of the BIOS main page
Are the items shown in the two images in your message the manual adjustments you wish to make?
- the brand and model name of the CPU, GPU, RAM (part number and installed slots as well), SSD/HDD, and PSU currently installed
- the OS version and OS build
- results from CPU-Z or other third-party software tests in the system, and please highlight any parameters that may seem abnormal or fail to reach your expectations

Thank you.

Hi @Karmageddon32 , the reason you do not see any undervolt settings is because you are currently in EZ Mode. In the pictures your posted, see in the bottom right it says Advanced Mode (F7). This means if you press the F7 key your BIOS will switch to the advanced mode where you will see a lot of different settings. Now in the bottom right you will see EZ Mode (F7). This means you can switch back to this current mode by pressing F7 again.

In short, F7 is the toggle key to go back and forth between EZ Mode and Advanced Mode.

I hope this helps you proceed forward. Be careful in what you change in Advanced Mode and take a not of everything you change in case you need help. Good Luck!
