Random crashes with X670E Hero

Before i go into the nuts and bolts let me spec out what i have.

X670E Hero - BIOS 1303
7950X3D
ZOTAC 4090 AMP AIRO
G.SKILL Z5 Neo EXPO 32GB 6000MHz F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5NR
CPU and GPU custom watercooled (EKWB parts)

So the other night while attempting to play Jedi Survivor the onboard Bluetooth disappeared (not in device manager etc), odd I thought but not a deal breaker and not worth the 2 months i was quoted i would be without the board, anyway my fault finding was as follows:-

Applied my clonezilla image of my machine in case it was a rogue update, Image is from 2 month ago when the system was built (clean image OS, drivers and AV) but the device was still missing.

Clean build of Windows 11 Pro from freshly downloaded ISO, no device.

Reached out to ASUS who said run the diagnostics in MyASUS app but there are none.

I had some new fans which i was waiting on installing on my Rads and thought no better time than now, they all connect to a fan controller so all i did was unplug 6 and plug in 6 to the same controller (all noctuas) and tidy the cabling, now the bluetooth is showing again but randomly the PC now just shuts down, no BSOD logs but 6008 IDs in event viewer, to power back on I need to either turn off the PSU and turn back on (Seasonic TX1300) or use the onboard ReTry button.

I'm at a loss and kinda out of ideas so any help is welcomed.

May I ask if it is a sudden shutdown characterized by a loss of display, but the fans and indicator lights are still operational,or does the system completely lose power?
It seems that you haven't mentioned whether you performed a clear CMOS after updating the BIOS in the previous conversation in this thread.
Could you please confirm if clearing CMOS helped resolve the problem? If the problem persists, please provide the following details:
- images of the BIOS settings, or whether the settings are default
- the brand, model name, and part number of the currently installed DRAM
- the brand and model name of the CPU, GPU, SSD/HDD, and PSU
- the OS version and build number

The sudden shutdown is chracterized by a loss of display and system shutting off (fans included), but all the Mobo leds stay on. It is exactly as a ''normal'' system shutdown but in order to turn it on again it is needed to flip the psu button on and off...Regarding the Cmos, I have performed it after updating serveral times.

Foe instance this sudden shutdown happens very randomly...yesterday I used my system for more than 4 hours without issues, some other days it happens just shortly after turning on!

- x670e extreme Bios settings default (on previous bios versions, I had EXPO on and PBO Amd Eco mode 105, but the issue was just the same)

- DRAM: Gskill  F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5N

- Cpu Ryzen 7950X3D, Gpu: MSI RTX 4090 Suprim, SSD: 2 x Samsung 980 pro (1 500gb, 1 1tb) PSU: Seasonic Prime TX 1600w

The behavior is rather simple - I'll be on my PC (what I'm doing doesn't seem to matter) and the system shuts down completely as if someone unplugged it. After this happens, attempting to power it back on with the power button does nothing. In order to turn it back on I will need to manually turn the PSU switch on and off.

Background regarding this problem:

This change occurred after I installed a new motherboard, CPU, and RAM - the PSU and GPU were already in place for months. Note I also performed a clean install of my operating system.

Previous motherboard: ROG Crosshair VIII Hero (Wi-Fi)

Previous CPU: AMD 5900X

Previous RAM: G.Skill Trident Z NEO DDR4 32GB (2 x 16GB) 3600

Current (one with issues) motherboard: ROG Crosshair X670E Hero

Current CPU: AMD 7800X3D

Current RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB DDR5 32GB (2 x 16GB) 6000

Previous & Current GPU: NVIDIA 4090 Founders Edition

Previous & Current PSU: Seasonic TX-1300.

BIOS Version 1415

Settings: (thought the best option to show all changed settings would be to load the optimized defaults and take a picture of the diff)

 

 OS:

Edition: Windows 11 Pro

Version: 22H2

OS Build: 22621.1702

As stated above, the circumstances aren't anything consistent, and the frequency is unpredictable as well. Every 1-2 days maybe.

No way to capture this on video without having 24/7 recording. Hopefully the description described is basic enough.

NOTE: I have not experienced this issue since changing my PSU from the Seasonic TX-1300, to the MSI MEG Ai1300P. That being said, the Seasonic PSU powered my previously noted system without issues, and I have a hard time believing the PSU was defective especially considering the other reports in this forum having very similar PSUs (same series/diff wattage in some cases).

Additionally, although this MSI PSU has not shut down, the MSI monitoring software for this PSU did show OCP error related notifications.

Same behaviour for me, with exactly the same new components. 

What i wanted to mention is that the motherboard still seems to be powered after these "shutdowns", the RGB on the motherboard is still on.

Hello, @aslplsthx .

May I confirm if you are currently using F4-3600C16D-32GTZN memory?
If so, this memory model is not listed in the Qualified Vendor List for the ROG CROSSHAIR X670E HERO (it also doesn't seem to be listed on the memory's QVL list).
Therefore, we suggest you try installing a single memory module in the DIMM_A2 slot as recommended in the user manual or consider using a memory model that is listed on the QVL to check if the problem can be solved.

I apologize for the confusion this may cause.
However, neither the previously mentioned memory models nor the DOMINATOR® PLATINUM RGB 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5 DRAM 6000MHz C36 (CMT32GX5M2D6000Z36) are listed on the QVL list for the ROG CROSSHAIR X670E HERO motherboard.

Everytime before i buy motherboard i always do my homework which memory rams is the right for motherboard to use, this one what i have

Hmm.. I could have swore I checked this.. but yes, you're right that is not currently on the QVL..

Was my memory previously on the QVL and now removed? Does having the "EXPO Tweaked" option indicate my memory was a tested configuration by ASUS?
