Before i go into the nuts and bolts let me spec out what i have.
X670E Hero - BIOS 1303
7950X3D
ZOTAC 4090 AMP AIRO
G.SKILL Z5 Neo EXPO 32GB 6000MHz F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5NR
CPU and GPU custom watercooled (EKWB parts)
So the other night while attempting to play Jedi Survivor the onboard Bluetooth disappeared (not in device manager etc), odd I thought but not a deal breaker and not worth the 2 months i was quoted i would be without the board, anyway my fault finding was as follows:-
Applied my clonezilla image of my machine in case it was a rogue update, Image is from 2 month ago when the system was built (clean image OS, drivers and AV) but the device was still missing.
Clean build of Windows 11 Pro from freshly downloaded ISO, no device.
Reached out to ASUS who said run the diagnostics in MyASUS app but there are none.
I had some new fans which i was waiting on installing on my Rads and thought no better time than now, they all connect to a fan controller so all i did was unplug 6 and plug in 6 to the same controller (all noctuas) and tidy the cabling, now the bluetooth is showing again but randomly the PC now just shuts down, no BSOD logs but 6008 IDs in event viewer, to power back on I need to either turn off the PSU and turn back on (Seasonic TX1300) or use the onboard ReTry button.
I'm at a loss and kinda out of ideas so any help is welcomed.
Solved! Go to Solution.

Slightly different behavior.. mine shuts down completely as if someone pulled the plug on the PSU. Pushing the power button won’t even power on the PC to attempt to POST unless the switch is flipped.

I have the exact same issue, I tried runing expo II and AI overclokcing and it fixed it for a while now its back again. This is begining to be so anoying....

So it happened, on 1415 and after a full day of VMware course labs and then 3 hours of Wall World I just had a shutdown, again push the retry button on the motherboard and it jumps back to life.

Unfortunately I knew it was just a matter of time... I was thinking, what if it is an issue with windows and core parking-power plans? since it happens only on x3ds (afaik), and they are quite sensitive to voltages in general and they are quite sophisticate when it comes to auto switch on and off ccds...

Had my PC on all day running burn in tests while I was working - it finally shut down after about 8 hours. This is on 1415, EXPO Tweaked/X3D OC profile.
At least now I know my PSU test won’t be useless. Should get it by EOD, probably will install it tonight.
EDIT:
Installed the MSI PSU, will report back if it makes any difference.
Notes already:
PSU is smaller/lighter than my old Corsair HX850i, and feels like a toy compared to the TX-1300 - my monkey brain doesn’t like that, but it may not really represent anything. Also has an unpleasant odor during operation (should go away in a few days of use).
Like Corsair, it has a USB port for usage monitoring, per the real time graph it shows the GPU drawing over 1000W at times, not sure what to make of this.. I also had a few OCP (over current protection) alarms from the software while running benchmarks. Will dig more into it tomorrow.
Side thought, maybe it’s a combination of the 3XD chips being able to keep up with the GPU a bit more than just the X variants. There’s some questioning on Seasonic’s implementation of the 12VHPWR connection, something about the output only being rated for 450W, but the GPU may try to request 600W due to the sense wire in the cable. This MSI PSU is fully ATX 3.0/PCIE 5 compliant.
Curious to see how this goes..

We are all curious at this point...I'm ready to bet that it will shutdown just the same at some point (hopefully not) 😎

I updated to bios ver.1415 yesterday on both of my gaming PC’s. After updating, enabled expo, ran Prime95 on both systems, one for over 2 hrs and the other over an hour and both systems passed with no crashes. CPU temps hovered around 80’C. Played MW2 for about 3 hours with no crashes. At this point, this bios update seems much more stable but we’ll give it a few more days and see how it does..

Been running VMware course again today this time with HWinfo on another screen. Appears to be happy again, see what happens when i boot up Jedi Survivior in 30 mins.

So it just went again, I thought i'd try re flashing 1415 (why not whats the worst that can happen?). Now i can't remember if itr did it last time but going via EZ Flash after it reads the BIOS it rebooted before applying. Kinda bored of it all now.

I've had my PC on since last night doing burn in tests, still no reboot, currently 15 hours of uptime..
