Before i go into the nuts and bolts let me spec out what i have.
X670E Hero - BIOS 1303
7950X3D
ZOTAC 4090 AMP AIRO
G.SKILL Z5 Neo EXPO 32GB 6000MHz F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5NR
CPU and GPU custom watercooled (EKWB parts)
So the other night while attempting to play Jedi Survivor the onboard Bluetooth disappeared (not in device manager etc), odd I thought but not a deal breaker and not worth the 2 months i was quoted i would be without the board, anyway my fault finding was as follows:-
Applied my clonezilla image of my machine in case it was a rogue update, Image is from 2 month ago when the system was built (clean image OS, drivers and AV) but the device was still missing.
Clean build of Windows 11 Pro from freshly downloaded ISO, no device.
Reached out to ASUS who said run the diagnostics in MyASUS app but there are none.
I had some new fans which i was waiting on installing on my Rads and thought no better time than now, they all connect to a fan controller so all i did was unplug 6 and plug in 6 to the same controller (all noctuas) and tidy the cabling, now the bluetooth is showing again but randomly the PC now just shuts down, no BSOD logs but 6008 IDs in event viewer, to power back on I need to either turn off the PSU and turn back on (Seasonic TX1300) or use the onboard ReTry button.
I'm at a loss and kinda out of ideas so any help is welcomed.
Solved! Go to Solution.

Is there a thread for a x670 extreme? Mine is experiencing this random shutdown. led's on the motherboard stay lit when shut down happens. I cannot power on the pc unless I kill the psu switch then it will power on after that. I also have a seasonic tx1300. I have had this happen at random from more than one bios version. I have installed the latest bios as well. I see there really hasn't been any progress on why this keeps happening.
BIOS: 1415
CPU: 7950x3d
DRAM: F5-60003040G32GX2-TZ5NR
VGA: Sapphire Nitro+ 7900 XTX
PSU: Seasonic TX1300w
OS: Win11-64 pro
Been also using EXPO I this entire time I've owned the pc.
Also I seen mentioning to others of isolating from the pc case, yeah I'm not going to do that, too much hassle right now. Also you need to test this for more than a few hours, it might go days without shutting down and then it will have a fit and do it multiple times in one night. It doesn't matter if it sits overnight, playing a game, and it used to do it once right after a bios update on the last few bios updates. I kinda shrugged it off at first because it only did this shutdown after a bios update but now its happening more frequently. I should have just kept my 5800x build, was very solid, this extreme board is extremely disappointing.

Hello there @Jiaszzz_ROG , can you provide more feedback about this LLC 5 stability?
I am currently running an 7950X and Gkill Dual Kit rams 2x16GB that are in the QVL (F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5N)as I have the setting to use EXPO Tweaked and my PSU is an TX-1000.Also my GPU is an RTX 3080TI WB from Aorus.
Since I bought this MB in the early release stage I have went through all the bios version and none was stable for me.
Right now I am using AI Overclocking (Performance) for the CPU, EXPO Tweaked for the ram at 6000 Mghz and disabled integrated GPU. No other settings changed in bios.
Today I had another failure but this time it was not a reboot. I was working in excel and my screens just went black, fans speed turned to maxium and I had to power off the suply. I did a clear cmos (after turning back on the PC I went into bios then I pressed for 10 secods te Clear Cmos from the back of the MB) and now I will test more the next days. By test I mean using my PC for work and gaming as I normally do.
Now I will wait to see if I have problems again or the other one I had more often which is after shutdown when I open the pc its stuck with fans speed at maximum and it wont boot at all.
But if I have I would like to know if I should try the LLC level 5
Video after the above mentioned "crash" or what ever it is...

Hello, @Țăranu
Thank you for providing further information since early June.
However, based on your content, it is difficult to determine if you have a similar situation to other users in this thread or not.
May I ask if you are currently using the X670E HERO as shown on the YouTube link?
What is the current BIOS version, and is your PSU a Seasonic TX-1000?
If you experience an automatic shutdown, have you tried performing a 30 to 40 second long press of the power button instead of powering off the PSU?
Regarding the BIOS settings, if there are any changes in the situation, please feel free to update in the comments or send me a PM.
Thank you.

Hello, @motorhead45
Could you please help confirm if your DRAM is F5-6000J3040G32GX2-TZ5NR?
May I ask what are the typical scenarios in which this issue occurs? For example, is it specific to certain games?
If you clear CMOS with the default BIOS, will it also result in automatic shutdown and require you to restart the PSU to boot up?
Would you be able to provide a recorded video of the complete scenario where the issue occurs, including the troubleshooting steps taken?
Meanwhile, please check the top right corner of the screen and kindly share the details requested in the PM inbox.
Thank you!

yes it is F5-6000J3040G32GX2-TZ5NR I don't know how I left that out. However I wont be able to provide a video at the moment because this is pretty random and it might go a few weeks or maybe couple of days before it happens again. Then Like I said above it used to happen like every time right after a bios update but lately hasn't done that, but lately it just randomly does it. The bios version before 1415 it did it 3 times overnight but then it stayed on for a month without a problem. Its just so sparce and random its really going to be hard to determine what it is. Event logs don't tell me anything, just states windows and an unexpected shutdown. It has counted 24 events since I bought the new board setup since 1/18/23. there was 9 unexpected shutdowns in january, 4 in february, 3 in march, 2 in april, 5 in may and so far 1 this month. So as you can see the span at which this occurs is going to be pretty hard to duplicate for you. So what I have read of this forum and other places, seems the hero and the extreme board(which I have) seems to be suffering from the same problem.
I also want to state that it doesn't seem to be specific to any game or task, its just whenever it feels like it.
It has also done this with both the 7900x and the 7950x3d that I have. It has also done it with two different seasonic psu, one older one that I last used on my 5800x build which was an 850w prime which was solid for the few years I ran that system and my newest tx-1300w So two bad psu? not likely, not even likely either is bad. But something keeps triggering this shutdown. I hear like two clicks like relays probably internal relay or something in the psu, and everything goes dark, but mobo led's stay lit but is unresponsive, cycle the power and it might be good for a few weeks.

Hello all,
Due to the random nature of the issue experienced by most users, it is hard to intentionally trigger the problem through specific actions. Therefore, if possible, here are the areas we would like your further testing to confirm:
Since a user previously provided error messages related to the PSU, and based on the information provided by all of you, we would like to prioritize ruling out any issues caused by abnormal thermal conditions.
Please use Cinebench R23/ HWMonitor/ CPU-Z or any other that is capable of recording and exporting temperature, voltage, and performance data for the CPU, GPU, and motherboard, record detailed information that requires more than an hour, and export the log file (in CSV or XML format) and relevant screenshots at the time the automatic shutdown occurs.
We would appreciate it if you could provide your current BIOS settings and usage scenario when providing the above information.
If you are willing, please help us record the results of the open test after removing the computer case as well.
We also kindly request that you keep us updated with any new information.
Thank you.

I ran CB23 for 30 minutes without experiencing any system shutdown. As mentioned by several users, these issues often occur during idle or medium load periods, even when the PC is left running overnight without any load. Simply subjecting the CPU to a constant load usually doesn't trigger the problem. I believe the transient spikes may not occur frequently enough during a test like this, compared to light or medium usage scenarios such as gaming, watching Twitch or YouTube, and general browsing.
Nonetheless, I would like to contribute my data. I uploaded a HWiNFO64 .csv file containing all the sensor information from my 30-minute CB23 run, excluding the ASUS EC sensor. You can download it from this link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/12_vxd3MycdfFKx-pebA_Y0bWn5sHzwMb/view?usp=sharing.
Here are my UEFI settings. Settings are really simple right now since I loaded optimized defaults not long ago to make this testing easier:

Hello, @Dabz and all.
Thank you very much. I have immediately forwarded it to the relevant department for reference. However, what we are more interested in are the relevant records of the automatic shutdown scenario, as providing those would be greatly helpful for researching this issue.
I apologize for the additional request. We would also like to gather information about the types of PSU rear interface connectors.
Thank you.

Hello, @Dabz
Sorry for the confusion.
Since there are two versions of the rear interface for the SeaSonic TX-1300 with the same model, would it be possible for you to provide a photo of the rear interface of the specific SeaSonic Prime TX-1300 that you are currently using?
Alternatively, is the photo you provided representative of the model you are using?
Thank you.
