Random crashes with X670E Hero

Before i go into the nuts and bolts let me spec out what i have.

X670E Hero - BIOS 1303
7950X3D
ZOTAC 4090 AMP AIRO
G.SKILL Z5 Neo EXPO 32GB 6000MHz F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5NR
CPU and GPU custom watercooled (EKWB parts)

So the other night while attempting to play Jedi Survivor the onboard Bluetooth disappeared (not in device manager etc), odd I thought but not a deal breaker and not worth the 2 months i was quoted i would be without the board, anyway my fault finding was as follows:-

Applied my clonezilla image of my machine in case it was a rogue update, Image is from 2 month ago when the system was built (clean image OS, drivers and AV) but the device was still missing.

Clean build of Windows 11 Pro from freshly downloaded ISO, no device.

Reached out to ASUS who said run the diagnostics in MyASUS app but there are none.

I had some new fans which i was waiting on installing on my Rads and thought no better time than now, they all connect to a fan controller so all i did was unplug 6 and plug in 6 to the same controller (all noctuas) and tidy the cabling, now the bluetooth is showing again but randomly the PC now just shuts down, no BSOD logs but 6008 IDs in event viewer, to power back on I need to either turn off the PSU and turn back on (Seasonic TX1300) or use the onboard ReTry button.

I'm at a loss and kinda out of ideas so any help is welcomed.

I just have the same issue on my x670e extreme and 7950x3d…probably a general bios issue??This has happened even with expo off...

Is it me or has ASUS binned off the disclaimer from their beta BIOS releases?

Yes they did…I decided to give it a try right now... as today while playing Jedi Survivor it just switched off again (all temps and voltages are excellent btw)

I am sad to hear that, i wanted to install 1410 today, after i heard the warranty will not void if i do that. But i am not sure if i want to do that if the crashes will still happen. 

What PSU do you run? I am seeing a lot of seasonic mentioned here and it is what i am running too. To be clear, i don't want to blame seasonic here, but there could be an incompatibility with the new BIOS and seasonic PSU?

I'm on a Seasonic as well...That could be a common cause

Interesting idea since I’m on a Seasonic PSU as well.

Not sure how that works exactly, you’d think the PSU/motherboard relationship is pretty “dumb” mobo asks for power, PSU provides power, but potentially some kind of incompatibility with how the board draws power from it. As others have stated my PC just dies, nothing useful in windows event viewer, and I need to actually flip the switch on the PSU to power it on after the event.

The behavior does seem power related in that sense.

The more I’m looking into this, Seasonic has a lot of good protection features on their higher end PSUs. My bet is something is triggering one of those protection features and killing power to the system.

This still would point to an ASUS problem I’d imagine. I had this same PSU/GPU running a 5900X previously with no such behavior. The 7800X3D alone wouldn’t be the reason. Must have something to do with how the board is handling power.

Think its a bit of a red herring personally. The relationship is that of a pull not a push if the board says "hey i want 3V on the soc" the PSU will do it as mentioned its the dummy in this relationship. When my system shuts down i too can reach around, power off and back on again but as the side if off my machine i can reach in and tap the RETRY button, the purpose of which is to revert a borked overclock. Something i don't have in place this leans me more to BIOS config.

I think it may not be a red herring, and other PSUs may not have the same protection features the higher end Seasonic PSUs have, and thus why we may all be seeing this issue as there is only Seasonic owners in this thread.  

This could be saving our hardware, or maybe Seasonics thresholds are too sensitive for the board.

By red herring i mean i don't think seasonic is causing the crash but do agreedthat maybe spike protection is shutting down. Frankly i would prefer my machine shutdown than a blown CPU as i bought mine in the US so don't want the hassle of returning it across the pond.
