Hi together,
I have the issues that i cant control my RAM lighting via windows dynamic lighting. The other rgb devices connected to the ARGB header work properly. I attached a picture down below that shows the problem To my system: Strix Z690-I with latest 4001 Bios, GSkill Tridenz Z 5 and Win11 24H2 with all updates and Armoury Crate is also up to date. I reached out to the GSkill Support but they replied that this is something that needs to be addressed over the motherboard and should already be possible related to some articles on the internet. Can anybody help me with this ? I like unified lighting match to my wallpapers so and not control every device separately every time.

Hello @kaisper
Thank you for reaching out to us.
May I ask if you would like to synchronize the RGB lighting of all devices through Armoury Crate's Aura Sync, or would you prefer to use Windows Dynamic Lighting?
After completing the BIOS update, did you clear CMOS and enable the Windows Dynamic Lighting setting?
Thank you.

Yes i enabled Windows Dynamic Lighting in the bios but i didnt cleared CMOS. That is something i can try. But as it seems @Bigbrotherjx has the same issue so i think it is not correct or it isnt implemented into any of the ASUS Software. So how can we achieve an improvement here ?

For RAM, the problem is that it is not clear exactly what controls the lighting behaviour, since RAM does not plug directly into the ARGB header. Do we need the RAM manufacturer to update the lighting firmware for the RAM? This is something that I hope Asus support can clarify in this thread.
Thanks

In my case GSkill is like i said aware of this but replied that this is something that has to happen on ASUS side. GSkill also said they wanted to reach out to ASUS. But yeah lets see if someone of ASUS replies to this and can clarify the situation.

I have the same issue with 2 sticks of Corsair VENGEANCE RGB DDR5 on an X670E-F, with the Windows Dynamic Lighting in BIOS set to Enabled. Everything that is directly plugged into the ARGB header works, but the RAM is still cycling through rainbow colours. I'm not sure whether this is a Corsair or Asus issue.

Unfortunately I suspect it has something to do with the RAM manufacturer as well. That being said, one should not give up, as I was struggling with an audio issue, where eventually another user managed to find a workaround.

Your not alone 😁...
Not an workaround but...using Gskill Trident Z Lightning control...u can match an static colour at least. Icue would work for Corsair...although its a big program if ur not using it for anything else.
Kaisper...you are a brave man to use Armoury crate 😨
