The manual requires to turn the SATA mode to RAID in the Advanced sata configuration of the BIOS. However that setting is not available in the BIOS.
There are only two things you can configure under the advanced SATA configuration, and that is NVME raid mode, enabled or disabled, and the smart self test, enabled or disabled.

Hello @Marcus2
Thank you for reaching out to us.
BIOS settings may vary depending on the version and hardware installation.
Could you please confirm your current BIOS version and whether you have installed an SSD of the same specifications in the M.2 slot?
We recommend following the instructions in [Motherboard] How to create Intel 600 or 700 series MB RAID in BIOS Setup for further configuration.
If needed, please share the brand and model of your hardware, including the CPU, GPU, and PSU, as well as the M.2 slot location (avoiding the use of extension cables or adapters) and screenshots of any BIOS settings that appear abnormal.
Thank you.

Hi @Marcus2 while the moderator provided you the instructions to setup RAID on your board, you may also want to read and reconsider your choice of a RAID setup by reading https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/gaming-motherboards/how-do-i-setup-raid-0-or-10-on-a-x670e-hero/m-p/10... post of mine.
If setting up a RAID is still the best choice for you, I hope the information provided by the moderator helped you resolve your issue.
