Hello, I’ve recently bought an asus prime b760 plus, paired with an nvme SSD, 16gb ddr5 and i5-14600K.
Bios is at 1405 version.
I tried to install windows 11 via usb, the installation starts fine but after a while the computer reboots and it pops a prompt where it asks me wether I want to keep on going with the installation and remove usb. If I do so it sends me back to bios, but the ssd isn’t possible to select for boot.
If I select no, it starts the installation again basically on a loop.
SSD is in gpt partition, and bios settings are basically all default. Csm is disabled and secure boot is set to windows-UEFI. Also the ssd is recognized as storage so I assume there are no hardware faults on that part? What can I do to install W11?
Thanks in Advance.

Hello clsudio
Did you use the Microsoft Media Creation Tool?

Yes I did. Also to add, after enabling csm the ssd pops up as a bootable device but my issue still seems to persist.

Ok,
Try resetting the bios to default settings (F5 key).
Then see if windows will install.

Tried, the same loop happens and then it doesnt recognize the ssd as a booting device.

Nope, I ended up installing Windows 11 on another simple HDD. I’ve literally tried everything regarding the bios but to no avail. My guess is that the SSD was at fault for some reason. Thank you for the tips anyway 🙂

You're welcome
Normally, the drive won't show in the boot order until windows is installed. During the windows installation, where you format and delete all partitions is where you'll first see the drive.
After windows installs, it should reboot and automatically set your ssd as the first boot device. You know you did a UEFI install if it shows Windows Boot Manager in front of your ssd.
