Problem with updating firmware of RTL8117 on MB WS Pro x570 ACE

Hello, i recently purchased this motherboard and as suggested i want to upgrade the firmware for the out of band network controller that is used for remote management. I tried the method of updating it with Asus Control Center Express but everytime i get an error that the directory cannot be mounted. The other method for updating is not usable for me because that system has Unraid OS and the direct installation method requires windows OS on the machine. Does anybody have a suggestion on how to fix the problem and complete the remote update? Thanks in advance.

Hello, @Darkfella

According to the specifications of the Pro WS X570-ACE, this model supports the Windows operating system.
May I inquire about your current operating system version?
At which step are you encountering difficulties in completing the update, and have you received any error prompts?
Could you provide relevant screenshots to help us better understand your situation?

Thank you.

Hello, im currently using Unraid OS, but isnt the firmware update option in ACCE supposed to work even if the machine is powered off or not booted in the OS?  The error i encounter is when i upload the firmware img file in ACCE and click on flash firmware then 2 sec later i get a pop up windows that shows error "Cannot mount the directory". If i try to start the update trough ACCE, but when inside of the BIOS it would show that update is in progress but it just stays at 0 percent even after waiting like 30 min.

Hello, @Darkfella

As the Pro WS X570-ACE only supports Windows 10 and is upgradeable to Windows 11, we recommend cross-testing with a Windows system to reassess the situation.

Thank you.
