Problem with gaming, maytbe related to Motherboard?

I got a high end pc, with intel 13900KF, Gainward 4090 Rtx,Asus Z790 A prime wifi motherboard, and a 32gb DDR5.

I got a really weird 1-2s lag spike coming from time to time , and it started about 1-2weeks ago, all the drivers are up-to-date.I have tried with two different internet connections also.

It happens also in Valorant, Warzone 2, and other games, i installed windows 11 again, didnt help. Also did a RAM test, and no errors.

Here is a youtube video, just skip to the 3:15 and you will see it. Sorry for bad video!

I'm trying to buy a Defuse kit(U can hear the sounds) and grenades, clicking them, nothing happens, then i warp few meters, come back and i got grenades etc.

Anyone know what is going on? Really need help on this one, if it is motherboard related, im just going to buy a new one of some kind...

Hello, @luike

Thank you for providing the video.
Could you please confirm if your current network card latency issues are specific to particular situations? such as only occurring during gaming while other online activities remain unaffected?
Please confirm the question below for us to better understand your situation.
- What are the current versions of the Intel I225/I226 LAN Driver and Intel Wi-Fi Driver you are using?
Please update them to the latest versions provided for the PRIME Z790-A WIFI before reevaluating the issue.
- What is the current BIOS version? Have you also updated Intel ME to the corresponding version?
For example, the latest BIOS version of thePRIME Z790-A WIFI is 1220, which requires updating the Intel ME to 16.1.27.2176V2.
- the images of the setting in BIOS, or whether it is the default
- the brand and model name of the CPU, GPU, DRAM(part number as well), and PSU currently installed
- the circumstances and frequency of problem

Meanwhile, we recommend you refer to the links below if needed.

Thank you.

Hello. I cant really say any particular situation. Lets say i play a one match of Valorant (24 rounds) the freeze comes about 2-4 times in that match. I can still hear the sound of discord etc on the same time the freeze comes!

Intel I225/I226 LAN Driver -> Versio 2.1.3.3

Wifi Driver -> Versio 22.160.0.3

Bios version -> Versio 1220

intel ME -> Versio 16.1.27.2176

Bios is Default, only change has been setting XMP profile 1.

-Brands

Intel 13900KF Processor,

Gainward RTX 4090 Phantom,

Kingston FURY Beast DDR5 RGB 5600 MHz CL36 32 Gt (where i can see part number?)

Asus ROG-STRIX-1000G - ATX PSU

My Pc has worked fine for the last 10 months, and suddenly it actually did start, so idk why.. Same gear all the time (mouse etc)

Hello, @luike

Thank you for providing the relevant information.
May I ask if the network latency issue occurs on both wired and wireless networks?
Upon verification, it appears that your Intel ME has not been updated to the corresponding version required by BIOS 1220, which required Intel ME version 16.1.27.2176V2.

We recommend updating it correctly, clearing the CMOS, and checking the default BIOS settings afterward.
Thank you.

Hello. So i was kinda sure it was motherboard related, and i bought ROG-STRIX Z790-E Gaming Wifi. But the problem is still here. I havent tried with wireless networking, only wired. My intel ME is correct now with bios version etc. I also did Memtest86, with 0 errors, did a stress test to my graphic card from 3dmark, nothing there either.

I also got a new router to home, and like i said this happens with other internet connections also. But i have noticed that example Warzone 2.0 shows "Packet Bursts" when the lagging does come, but after googleing many others are getting it also, but the "packet burst" seems kinda similar lag to the other games what i've been having, they are just not showing any icons there like in Warzone 2.

I'm not 100% but i changed in bios "Sync All cores" and "auto" on the second box, i didnt get that much network problem in that one game what i played. I also learned that the  "Packet burst" icon in warzone may mean something about cpu also, i copied something from other forum "Yeah the 3 square symbols shows up with cpu issues as well unfortunately"

One possible remedy to try is to give realtime priority to the game.

After you start your game, switch back to desktop (Alt+Tab) and start Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc).

Select Details, find game name, right-click on the game name, Set priority - Realtime.

This may help prioritize game over other processes (as Discord, etc).
