Problem with ASUS TUF X670E-Plus Motherboard - Ram

I’m experiencing an issue with my ASUS TUF X670E-Plus motherboard and a single stick of RAM.

  • RAM Model: XPG Lancer RGB, 16GB, 6000MHz, DDR5, CL30
  • I only have one stick of memory.

Here’s what happens:

  1. When I install the RAM in Slot 1: The PC doesn’t boot, and the motherboard stays stuck with the DRAM light on.
  2. When I install the RAM in Slot 2: The PC boots normally and works perfectly.
  3. When I install the RAM in Slot 3: The PC doesn’t boot, and the DRAM light stays on.
  4. When I install the RAM in Slot 4: The PC boots normally and works perfectly.

I’d like to understand:

  • Is this a problem with the motherboard or the RAM itself?
  • Do Slots 1 and 3 only work in Dual Channel configurations?

Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
