Prime X470-Pro not seeing 5800 (OEM) CPU. BIOS 6210.

I decided to upgrade my X470-Pro from a Ryzen 2600 to a Ryzen 5800 (OEM).  I had already flashed the MB a while ago to 6063.

So I installed the 5800 CPU in and it won't post at all.

I put the 2600 in again and boots fine.  I then upgrade to BIOS 6210 and then powered down and replaced 2600 to 5800 again, and still no post.

I reset the BIOS a couple times.  I even reset the BIOS with the 2600 in it.

The compatibility lists shows the 5800 (65w) is compatible.

I even pulled the battery and power cord, then jumped the CMOS for a cppuple hours, and still nothijng.

But the 2600 is just fine in the X470-Pro.

Also, The 5800 in the Dell (X570 Motherboard) posts just fine and works great.  But I don't want to keep the Dell (Alienware R10).  The 2600 POSTs just fine in the Dell also.

Is there anything I am missing?

Hello, @MarkJohnson

May I ask if you have made any changes to the hardware configuration other than the CPU?
Could you please provide the brand, model, and specifications of the PSU you are currently using?
If possible, try cross-testing with a higher-wattage PSU.
Additionally, we recommend referring to the relevant guidance in the "Test with minimal components, isolating the possible cause" section and attempting to boot with the minimal hardware components to isolate the potential issue.
If you persist in being unable to post into the system, please provide the following information to help us better understand the configuration:
- the current BIOS version and the images of the setting in BIOS, or whether it is the default
- the brand, model name, and part number of the DRAM currently installed
- the brand and model name of the CPU, GPU, SSD/HDD, and PSU currently installed
- are there any extensions or adapters used to connect any devices, such as GPU or SSD?
- the OS version and OS build

Thank you.

No, I only changed the Ryzen 2600 CPU to a Ryzen 5800 (OEM) CPU.  And got no post.

My PSU is a Seasonic Prime 750 watt 80+ Platinum

I also tested a 1,000 watt Phanteks (PH-P1000G_WT02) 80+ Gold on Cultist Tier A PSU list.

I basically did all of the guide already. I always test with bare minimum and non-OC parts (Ie. RAM) I have 1.2v Generic DDR4 RAM for testing.

I'll need to get back to you on BIOS setting as I need to disassmeble, then reassemble the PC with the 2600 again.

Here's my RAM kit - Crucial RAM 64GB Kit (2x32GB) DDR4 3200MHz CL22 (or 2933MHz or 2666MHz) Desktop Memory CT2K32G4DFD832A

Also, this is my old set that I tested as well: TEAMGROUP T-Create Classic 10L DDR4 32GB Kit (2 x 16GB) 3200MHz (PC4 25600) CL22 Desktop Memory Module Ram - TTCCD432G3200HC22DC01

I already posted my PSUs, My GPU is ASRock Radeon RX 5700 XT Challenger D 8G OC PCI Express 4.0 Video Card.

SSD is Crucial P3 500GB PCIe Gen3 3D NAND NVMe M.2 SSD, up to 3500MB/s - CT500P3SSD8

No adapters.  No RGB, other than onboard in motherboard.

I am using the latest build of Windows 11 pro.

I'll post pictures of BIOS tomorrow as it's too late this even to reassemble the computer.

OK, I pulled everything from my base.  Set the motherboard on a cardboard plain brown box. Connected CPU, GPU, RAM and PSU.

I plug in monitor to computer, keyboard & mouse to PC, and when I turn it on it boots to my USB windows 10 installer.  I tell it to install to my NVMe next to the CPU.  My only drive.  it finishes without issue. but when the installers reboots to finish the installation process, it just hangs there forever.  Eventually it times out and gives an error and reboots.

I forgot the error, as it takes forever to sit and babysit the computer, and it reboots itself over and over until it finally times out and sends to the BIOS or turn it off.

Hello, @MarkJohnson

Thank you for providing the information, relevant images, and additional explanations.
Could you also share the image of the BIOS main page and the packaging details or a purchase link for the Ryzen 5800 (OEM) CPU?
We have already compiled your information and are currently consulting with the relevant team further.
If there are any updates, we will promptly respond in this thread.

Thank you.

Hello, @MarkJohnson

Based on the subsequent updates you provided, it appears that you are able to POST but encounter a BSOD issue.
Upon further investigation, we suggest trying different USBs for system installation, testing with a newly installed system disk, or cleaning the previous system disk after backing up data before changing the CPU. Please check if the problem persists after these steps.
Thank you.
