I have a PC built from a ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Formula motherboard with a AMD Ryzen 3950X. I've been having very random issues with it failing to boot that sometimes occur for days or weeks, and sometimes won't occur for days. When booting, either cold or as a reboot, the system will fail to boot 9/10 times with the following errors:
- Test CMOS
- Test NVRAM
- Check HDD
- Randomly listed corrupt Windows files associated with a blue screen
- Green Windows failed to boot screen
If I simply keep hitting reset on the PC, sooner or later the device will boot into Windows and work flawlessly until the next reboot. I've replaced the CMOS battery, the memory, the NVMe SSD and the PSU. The device is on a UPS. Resetting the CMOS and re-flashing the BIOS from USB does not resolve the issue.
I am at a loss for what to troubleshoot next. Is this a failed motherboard?
