Hi everyone,
I recently updated my BIOS to version 2704 (released 01/23/2025) on my Asus ROG Crosshair X670E Hero motherboard, and now my system won’t start. I had not updated the BIOS since I had bought all the parts around December 2023. I performed the update because my GPU would randomly black out, and updating the drivers didn’t fix the issue.
Has anyone else faced boot issues after updating to BIOS 2704? Is there a way to force a rollback to an earlier BIOS if Flashback isn’t working? Am I looking at it completely wrong and something else may be the issue? Any other troubleshooting steps I should try? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Hello @TheBossk
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Due to potential parameter adjustments across different BIOS versions, could you kindly confirm whether the memory is listed in the ROG CROSSHAIR X670E HERO memory QVL, and if it is installed in the slots recommended in the user manual?
Considering that you encountered a Q-code 00 during boot on your AMD platform board, we also recommend you consult the user manual to ensure all hardware components are properly installed, including verifying that the CPU pins are not bent and that the CPU is not installed too loosely or too tightly.
Furthermore, please attempt a minimal hardware setup: remove the chassis and leave only the CPU installed on the motherboard, using integrated graphics output, with a single memory module in the DIMM_A2 slot, and PSU to confirm the booting process. If possible, we suggest cross-testing other memory modules listed on the QVL.
Thank you.

Hey Bro were you able to fix this issue? I have also been having weird issues with my set up, I pretty much have the exact same set up as you, except 32GB 6400Mhz at CL28 and the 7950X3D. Also got the TUF 4090. I keep getting this weird thing when I start my PC the screen flickers black like 3 times before it kicks in. Was going to update the bios cause I haven't done it in a good while, but I have so many custom settings in the bios, I really don't want to unless I HAVE to.
What was the fix for you?
Cheers bro
