Hello, @Alexpitstop

May I ask if the situation you described happened after any changes were made? For example, adjusting the BIOS settings or connecting an external device
Could you please confirm which motherboard you are currently using, whether it's the ROG MAXIMUS Z790 DARK HERO or ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero, and provide the BIOS version? have you enabled any overclocking settings or manual adjustments in the BIOS?
If you haven't updated to the latest BIOS version, please consider updating and clearing CMOS, then check again.
Regarding the shutdown issue, does it occur only after playing games for 3-4 hours, or does it happen in any usage scenario after that time frame? Can you usually initiate an immediate restart using the power button?
Could you please provide the names and versions of the games causing this abnormal behavior, as well as share a comprehensive recording of the shutdown scenarios and subsequent troubleshooting steps for further analysis?
Meanwhile, are there any extension cords or adapters used to connect the GPU or related hardware?
If so, we recommend removing them, connecting directly to the motherboard, and ensuring the power connections are correct.

Thank you.

Hello and thank you for your interest.i have the latest bios version 4702 on asus rog crosshair VIII dark hero. I haven't done any changes lately my monitor is connected straight to the gpu with display port cable from the monitor came with which is asus rogswift pg32uq . It happens after at least 3 hours of gaming , I have reinstalled windows this weekend and reset the bios from the  mobo button and I successfully played 6-7 hours without shutting down it seems it works now maybe if I played more I don t know I will try again next weekend. I have the docp enabled just that nothing else I have 64gb of ram corsair dominator that is on qvl page of mobo from the same kit 16x4 3600mhz cl16-18-18 .after the shutdown I am able to start Wright away back no problem , the games I  play are rdr2 and cyberpunk 2077 , the gpu is not on extension is straight on motherboard, the temps are always constant 60 cpu and 70 gpu,.  And the shutdown just happen no warning before it just like un pluging it from the wall, I also have a ups apc but I tried without it and still happens. I hope the problem is away after resetting the bios! Windows reinstall didn't helped! I will keep in touch! I much appreciate 🙏  your interest!
