Hi, i updated my bios some days ago after the pc crashed 2-3 times(thought the ram was unstable @5800mhz) and changed the RAM freq to 5600mhz. My wife played then the evening and the next day BOOM pc doenst boot up. VGA led lights up on the mb. When connecting the TV to the maiboard via hdmi it works and the pc boots in windows but doenst recognizes the dedicated gpu at all. Checking the bios and activated the iGPU(Asus MB Setting were set on PCIe, the option that sould be right?!?) then rebooted into bios and now there is the option to deactivate the internal gpu, before the setting was greyed out and set to "auto". Deactivated the igpu and i set the activ gpu as pcie. Then restarted the pc and wirth the cable in my rtx 4080 hdmi it works as intended. Can do everything in windows and play like i want. But the next day the setting in the motherboard ist back to the one in the beginning...(the only one all other ones are like i set them up).
My PC:
INNO3D GeForce RTX 4080 iChill X3M
AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
ASUS TUF GAMING B650-PLUS WIFI
32GB (2x 16GB) G.Skill Flare EXPO X5 DDR5-6000 DIMM CL36-36-36-96 Dual Kit
OS m.2 Samsung 970 EVO 500GB
Solved! Go to Solution.

@Gurkenload With Flashback it works, also without starting the PC 😉 Only power needs to be on. You don't need to start the mainboard, only turn on the power supply, that the LED'S are on. Then you can use the flashback. You can flash back to all versions, that's the benefit from this feature or when maybe something went wrong and no start up, you can still flash the bios with this. Have try.
Plz look into the manual, for the Flashback Function.

Hello, @Gurkenlord
Based on your description, it seems that after updating the BIOS, you need to disable iGPU and set the GPU to PCIe every time you boot.
Could you please provide the specific BIOS version you updated to, and did you clear CMOS after updating the BIOS?
May I ask if the GPU is currently installed in PCIEX16_1 or PCIEX16_2, and are you using any adapters or extension cables to connect it?
We recommend starting with a CMOS reset and cross-testing different PCIEX16 slots to see if the issue persists.
Regarding memory, we suggest referring to the TUF GAMING B650-PLUS WIFI user manual and trying to install it in the recommended slots.
Thank you.

@Jiaszzz_ROG THANKS for the reply, First of all i already usw the right Slots for the dimms(a2+B2) and already cleared the CMOS 2-3 Times. I use the PCIEX16_1 Slot (the upper one) without any extension(Picture). I'll try the second pcie slot in 2hrs if the GPU fit. I use the newest BIOS 1811 and the one before. Same problem for all of them.

Hello Gurkenlord,
do you know, which Bios version do you had before, where the problem not appear? If yes, for testing you can flash back to this version. You can use here the Flashback Option for this mainboard.
