Hi. I posted recently about PBO on my B650E-I WIFI. Looks like i figured out what was wrong. I applied negative curve through PBO it works well then I turned on EXPO and the curve setting just stopped working. I tried to apply AMD ECO mode and the result was the same - no changes when RAM EXPO profile is applied. Can you help ? It's it a bios bug or some changes applied with enabling expo doesn't allow PBO to work?
Curve applied
CPU wattage and temps with curve applied without RAM overclocking
Changes that EXPO applies in BIOS
CPU temps and wattage after changes
My BIOS version is 2413. CPU - Ryzen 7 7700. RAM G.Skill DDR5-5600 EXPO CL30-36-36-89 1.25V F5-5600J3036D16GX2-FX5

Hello, @hamsta007
Thank you for sharing the images and context.
Could you please verify the contents of the message I PM you last week and provide the following information?
- Besides the BIOS, have you used any other software to perform overclocking settings or adjustments?
If so, does reverting to the default settings under the system help improve the issue?
- apart from EXPO, are there any other manual settings in the BIOS?
Could you please provide images of the BIOS main page and all non-default manually adjusted settings?
Does the issue persist if you cross-test with memory from the ROG STRIX B650E-I GAMING WIFI QVL?
Thank you.

Unfortunately I don't have a RAM kit from the QVL.
I haven't used any other sofware, I even removed Armoury crate because I thought it might intervene.
There are no other manual settings applied except the fan curve.

Hello, @hamsta007
After further consultation with the relevant department, we confirm that the expected behavior is for PBO or AMD ECO to stop functioning after setting memory overclocking.
We recommend attempting to set the memory overclock first and then configuring the relevant PBO parameters to further verify if the system can boot correctly.
If the system fails to boot, kindly provide a comprehensive video recording of the entire process, including successful booting after setting memory overclocking but the inability to boot after configuring PBO.
Additionally, please include images of the complete PBO settings and highlight the specific parameters that may be causing the abnormal behavior.
Thank you.

So to get both working I need to Overclock RAM first, then reboot, then apply PBO settings? Am I right?

For the beginning I'm pretty sure that normally BIOS should allow both RAM overclocking and PBO settings working at the same time.
What I tried from your suggestion
I don't have any instability issues BTW. No BSODs and so on. I just want to make RAM overclocking and PBO working at the same time.

Hello, @hamsta007
Thank you for your confirmation and response.
Could you please provide a video of the aforementioned steps and an image of the PBO settings?
We would appreciate it if you could record a video of enabling EXPO after clearing CMOS, successfully booting up, then enabling the negative CPU curve in PBO (or any other settings), saving the changes, rebooting, and subsequently showing that the PBO-related settings aren't applied.
Thank you.
