Hello all. So within the last couple of years I built myself a new gaming PC and passed this one down to my daughter. The current specs are below:
P8Z77-V LX motherboard
2x4GB Corsair CMZ8Gx3M2A1600C9B RAM
Radeon RX 6600
2 SSD hard drives
Recently, I added a GC-WBAX210 wifi card and some G.skill ripjaw F3-12800CL10D 2x8GB ram sticks (DDR3-1600) to give her more memory and faster WiFi since she had a basic USB antenna before. After that installation, it started crashing Fortnite, and after started crashing Roblox. I once got a BSOD for IRQL_NOT_LESS_THAN_EQUAL. Now even the Epic Games launcher crashes. I have tried updating all drivers, checking for malware, etc. I looked in the manual and didnt see my RAM on the approved vendor list with these timings (10-10-10-30), but it does work under normal conditions. To start troubleshooting, I took the Wi-Fi card out and put the old USB antenna back in and it hasnt crashed yet, but now I am wondering if there is a way to make them both work. I had the WiFi card installed in the top short slot PCI-E 2.0 x1_1 slot, and unfortunately the other short slot is covered by the video card. I am wondering if there is an IRQ problem, or if maybe those RAM timings wont work or what. Thoughts?

Hello @Jayfaas
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Based on your description, it seems that there may be a compatibility issue between the motherboard and the newly installed Wi-Fi card.
For the BSOD issue, please refer to [Windows 11/10] Troubleshooting - Blue Screen Errors in Windows (BSOD).
In addition to ensuring that the P8Z77-V LX BIOS, OS, and drivers are updated to the latest versions, as well as verifying that the hardware is correctly installed, please note that the significant gap in release times and specifications between the motherboard and the Wi-Fi card could also lead to compatibility issues. We recommend considering whether any hardware updates may be necessary.
Thank you.
