OK I recently acquired the G20 with the h97-i/g20aj/dp_mb mobo in it from a friends 'junk' pile. Since the unit was pretty 'clean' I snagged it and popped it on my bench, 100% totally tore it apart cleaned a few things added 2 4 gig sticks of ram a hard drive all verified good, popped the cpu out etc etc, dropped a cheapo GPU (not requiring extra power) card in it, gave it the boot. I had to fart around a bit jumpers etc ok got the monitor to respond ergo orange standby light went off and turned to blue (all good)...no GUI, no bios nada zip zilch....hmmm so I know it is getting a signal..ok time for a beer and a blunt here we go....swapped numerous cables (check), swapped power bricks (check) used 2 power bricks (check) Yes, I know the specs needed and I exceeded them, swapped ram sticks, slots etc (check), reset CMOS in more ways than one (check), removed the GPU went HDMI on-board video (check) standby light off and a blue 'haze' on the monitor NO GUI, no BIOS (check). Ok, stripped it back down all jumpers to default, no fans no CPU cooler just KB,mouse, power brick and monitor exactly same results. OK so changed CPU out to 2 different socket correct dual core's I3 different speeds...same result. Absolutely no corrosion on the MB no bulging caps etc (I know what to look for) nothing to tell me this sucker shouldn't be up and running. I even tried an SSD drive for ******s and grins. Any clues? and here is my current jumper pix, set for single power brick integrated video....thanx1.jpg

Yeah I reckon tried this: M471B5273CH0-YK0 - SODIMM 4GB PC12800 and this: Elpida 4GB DDR3-1333 EBJ41UF8BCS0-DJ-F SODIMM PC3-10600 NON-ECC. I even tossed in a 2GB stick both in DIMM A and B singles and duals.....

OK last try before I bin this turkey, what sux is that I like this case. So, I let it stew for a couple of days as I worked on other cans and went back at it. This time I tried using another good video card BUT, I got rid of the PCIx riser just to eliminate that as a possible issue (fun) recall as it stands now the board is 100% stripped down as above still. The video card experiment was so I could play jumper games there was only 78 combinations in all but a few settings the unit still exhibited the same results, standby light off on monitor (getting a signal) a 'blue' haze in some combinations I would get nothing...ok ****** can video card start back from 'assumed' stock settings utilizing integrated video play jumper games no joy. I even removed a w11 drive from a working unit and 'shagged' it on no joy I even removed the ram from a working unit no joy same results. At this point I am totally stumped and it's personal now LOL. Further the lack of information on this mobo is astonishingly lacking. I can't find ONE single comprehensive manual Asus is worthless. Any slick idea's nerds or put a target on it ex wife comes to mind and have some practice.....TIA
