Hello sorry noob here
I am having a problem with my pc.
Basically new graphics card rtx4070ti is not working correctly.
Support has asked me to check it is conected to pcie 16 lane. "made sure in BIOS that the GPU is receiving 16 PCIE lanes" I have no idea how to do this, but looked on the web and it told me this. "

Hello, @rebster60
Regarding the situation you described, it is essential to confirm whether the GPU is correctly installed in the PCIEX16 slot on the motherboard.
Additionally, we recommend initially installing it in the PCIex16_1 slot and ensuring that the PCIex16_2 and PCIex16_3 slots are unoccupied to ensure the GPU operates at X16.
Subsequently, please use GPU-Z or other third-party software in the system to verify the GPU's channel count.
Regarding the BIOS settings, in the BIOS>Advanced mode>Advanced>PCH Configuration, is there a PCI Express Configuration option?
If needed, please set the PCIe Speed to [Gen4], aligning with the Bus Standard specification for the RTX4070ti.
Meanwhile, could you provide more details about the specific issues you are encountering with the graphics card?
We suggest checking if a BIOS update is available, and after updating, please clear the CMOS to see if the anomalies can be resolved.
If the issue persists, kindly provide the current BIOS version of the motherboard, complete details of the GPU brand and model, confirmation of correct GPU installation, and specifics about the situation and frequency of the problem.
Thank you.

"if i set the bios to gen4 then I run into issue's rebooting, black screens and corrupted graphics. very low fps count in heaven benchmark i mean like 5fps. If I have it set to gen 3 then all seems to work fine.
My Graphics card is a Asus tuf gaming rtx4070ti 12GBgddr6x memory
Hello Jiaszzz_ROG
I can confirm that the gfx card is correctly seated into pcie4.0/3.0 x16_slot 1 and that slots 2,3,4,5 are empty
I am running bios version 5003.
Psu is a corsair rm1000e fully modular and I am using 2 pcie cables into the pcie y cable that came with the card

Hello, @rebster60
Could you please specify the circumstances under which the graphics card is not functioning correctly? For instance, is it unable to boot, or is there a downclocking issue?
And also confirm if this problem occurred after any hardware or software modifications, such as the installation of a new GPU or a BIOS update.
Have you attempted to clear CMOS, and has the issue persisted despite these efforts?
If the problem persists, please share the following details to better understand your situation:
- are there any Q-LED indicator lights or Q-Codes when the GPU experiences abnormalities?
- the images of the setting in BIOS, or whether it is the default
- the brand, model name, and part number of the DRAM currently installed
- the brand and model name of the CPU, GPU, SSD/HDD, and PSU currently installed
- are there any extensions or adapters used to connect any devices, such as GPU or SSD?
- the OS version and OS build
- the circumstances and frequency of the problem
Thank you.

Good set of bios options. First PCIE X16 slot is spaced low enough like smokers to allow ample room for an NH-D15 cooler. Good use of PCIE switchers, allows for all PCIE slots (including them. Optimum II technology improves trace layout to significantly reduce visa and crosstalk, enhancing memory stability and compatibility while giving memory kits higher frequency margins.
