Hello everyone,
I'm having issues with my internet connection, but only on my gaming PC. Almost every time i start my PC, I initially have no internet connection, and it only starts working after I restart the PC. Occasionally, I also lose the internet connection during regular use and have to restart my PC again. Here's what I've tried so far:
I really have no idea what could be causing this and it's extremely annoying, especially since it happens daily. Maybe someone with more knowledge could help...
Here are my components:
I'm using Windows 11
Asus Rog Strix Z790 F Gaming Wifi
Intel i7 13700k
G.Skill DDR 5 32 GB
Palit 4070 TI Samsung
M2 990 1TB Samsung
M2 980 1TB

Hello 0L1cs
Have you tried running the troubleshooters?
There are two you can run, they may identify the problem.
You can also try doing a network reset within windows.

Hello, @OL1cs
Regarding the wireless network issue, in addition to the suggestions provided by @Nate152 , please refer to the steps in [Motherboard] Troubleshooting - How to fix Motherboard WI-FI connect problem, including restoring network settings to default values or BIOS settings.
Additionally, consider updating the BIOS to the latest version 2102 released on March 19, 2024, and clearing CMOS.
For the Wi-Fi disconnection issue during use, please observe if it occurs in specific software or usage scenarios and whether there are situations such as system overheating or signal interference.
Thank you.

So, all is good for now?
When you lose connection again, try all three suggestions above.

So I have new information.
Just now, I had the problem again and did some troubleshooting. It said: The DNS server is not responding.
Then I googled what could be causing this and read that you should disable antivirus and Windows Firewall. I did that, and then it worked again.
I'm just not sure if it was because of that or because I spent so much time googling that it just started working again.
Here some screenshots from the troubleshooting ( Sorry in german):
