Just bought brand new Asus ROG Strix X670E-E gaming wifi with a brand new AMD 7950x3d CPU. The motherboard is currently sitting on it's box with the CPU installed, AIO and 1 Samsung nVME drive. I am also using Kingston Fury Renegade DDR5 kit. I am an experienced builder but it is my first time building a AM5 build. What is happening is once I turn on my PSU, the Asus lights on the I/O plate turns out which is good, but once I hit the start button on the MB the AIO RBG blinks and so does the Q-Code LED blinks as well and then just shuts off. It sound like it's shorting out somewhere but how can that be as the MB is sitting on the box on a wood table. I don't have another CPU to try as it might be the issue. I have tried removing the RAM and the scenario does not chnage at all. I have disconnected the CPU cables and I did see a red led turn on so that shows that the MB has not detected any power cables for the CPU which again makes me think that the MB is ok but I am lost. I took a picture of the socket and looked for any bent pins and I cannot see any of my picture from my s24. If anybody has any ideas I would be very appreciated. Thanks in advance. Here is a pic of my socket.

I found the issue. It turned out that the SATA power cable that I was using with my Seasonic modular PSU was deffective... I would have never thought of that... but that's what it was. I first hold down the CMOS reset button for 25 seconds then changed the PSU SATA cable going from my PSU to the Corsair AIO and it worked,,, Very happy now but still puzzled. I think the issue was with my PSU all along. Hope this helps someone in the future. Cheers. Now I will attempt to run my 7200mhz RAM with my 7950x3d chip.

Hello @alamakluke
I'm glad you were able to pinpoint the problem.
Sometimes, if the CPU cooler is mounted overtight or if the power cables are not fully connected, it can fail to boot.
As a result, for newly built PCs encountering boot issues, we recommend first referring to the motherboard manual to ensure all hardware is properly installed.
Based on the Q-code and red Q-LED indicator light, you can refer to the following link to check the corresponding indicators, if needed in the future:
[Motherboard] Common Q-CODE(Error CODE) and Troubleshooting
[Motherboard] ASUS motherboard troubleshooting via Q-LED indicators
[Motherboard] Troubleshooting - No Power/No Boot/No Display
If further troubleshooting is required, we suggest cross-testing the suspected hardware, BIOS updating, and clearing CMOS if needed.
If you encounter any further difficulties or have any concerns, please feel free to reply or PM me anytime.
Thank you.
