New build ProArt Z790-Creator Wifi repeated, random restart

Hello,

I did my first PC build and it keeps randomly restarting.  It may last a few minutes or even up to 20, but it crashes out and restarts without warning.  I updated the bios when I first started the computer. I installed a new copy of Windows 11.  After starting up and registering Win 11 I checked for updates (I downloaded the Win 11 installer a couple hours before install and then updated all of the drivers using ASUS’s Armory Crate.  And then I ran GE Force Studio to update those drivers.

Please help.  I really need to get some stuff done using this new computer, but I have no idea what is happening.

I checked the PSU cable.  It looks good.  The outlet it is using into is ok. And I looked at the connections of the PSU inside the case.  I used Hwinfo 64 to check temps and there doesn't seem to be anything overheating.

I have grabbed a few event logs, but don’t know what to look for.  I also included a snip of HWiNFO 64 screenshot

I did have a BIOS level error CPU FAN speed detection error!

I installed the cooler cable into a fan header closer to where the cable originated on the cooler.  I switched it to the CPU Fan header and that error has gone away.

Hello @mvanderhoff
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Regarding the unexpected automatic restarts, may I ask if the issue persists even after removing all SSDs and HDDs and booting into the BIOS?
We recommend reviewing the ProArt Z790-CREATOR WIFI user manual to ensure all hardware is properly installed, including checking for bent CPU pins or overly loose or tight installation.
Please also consider updating the BIOS and all relevant drivers available on the official website to their latest versions, and then clear CMOS before checking again.
Additionally, please refer to the guide [Windows 11/10] Troubleshooting - Automatic Shutdown/Restart Issues for further steps to address this situation.

Thank you.
