Just installed this yesterday but i cant find stable settings for overclocking. occt starts throwing errors in ram test. Previously i was running ram at 4133mhz on msi z490 tomahawk. but on this cant even run 3866mhz. mainly i want to overclock ram only. Atleast 4133mhz. My specs below:
i9 10900k
corsair LPX 3600mhz 16gb x 2
deepcool castle ex360mm aio
corsair 780t case
asus tub gold 850watt psu

Hello @hardcore_gamer9
We apologize for the delayed response due to the recent local holiday.
ASUS has verified the motherboard for the best stability and compatibility when installed with the devices in Memory QVL list.
Could you please confirm if the memory you currently have installed is listed in the ROG STRIX Z490-F GAMING QVL and installed in the slots recommended by the manual?
We recommend referring to the 'purchasing and installation guide' on the motherboard's QVL page, as well as relevant discussion: Memory Kits - Overclocking and What You May Not Know
You may also want to try updating to the latest BIOS version 3001, clearing CMOS, and installing a single module in the DIMM_A2 slot, and gradually add the second module once the overclocking is stable.
Additionally, we have a dedicated section for overclocking discussions: Overclocking & Tweaking
If you'd like, I can help move this thread there to get more focused responses and attention.
Thank you.

hello thank you for replying. but i am very much disappointed with asus board . I had msi z490 tomahawk but had to change that board and got this asus . Now the thing is in msi board i ran ram at 4133mhz easily with 20-22-22-42 timing but the thing is that this asus board not even letting me set ram at 2933mhz it gives bsods in windows. how is this possible? please tell me what to do

Multiple reasons that this is possible.
A couple of which (but far from exhaustive) and overclocking holds no assurances.
1. Is the memory kit present on the QVL?
2. Different motherboard vendors use different timing subsets, some more relaxed than others. The CPU sample might not be comfortable at the auto rules.
3. The CPU may require voltage adjustment to VCCSA and other associated rails to accommodate timing adjustment (inc tighter RTLs, etc)
4. If available, use XMP II profile.
5. If memory sub timings and auto rules are too relaxed, performance at 4000+ may not be worth the latency disadvantage vs opting for memory speeds between 3200 and 3600MT.

sir i already set cpu sa and io to 1.3 and also 1.4 and also dram volat to 1.35 then also 1.4 but nothing works. And my corsair lpx 3600mhz 16x2 gb kit 3600mhz xmp is not in QVL. ALSO I WIDENED THE TIMINGS FOR RAM like in my msi board it was at 20-22-22-42 but on this board if i choose manual in ai tweaker option then even i set timing at 22-24-24-46 it just does not post after all these settings. BUT IF I CHOOSE JUST XMP1 it does post and pc runs fine but i get browser other apps crashes. please tell now what to do

Hello,
For VCCSA and VCCIO, note that these are signal rails, so tuning might be required rather than simply using more voltage.
As the memory kit isn't present on the QVL list, ASUS hasn't verified it as working on the Strix-F. You still have failed to mention the memory kit part number.

if you can guide to tweak and tune cpu voltages i will be very grateful . Also this corsair is my ram

Hello,
CPU variance when overclocking is real, this is why such guides don't exist. Look at tuning secondary and sub-timings, also.
Alternatively, look to purchase a kit which is validated on the QVL.

where do i find these options in bios

You will find them on the memory timing configuration page under Extreme/AI Tweaker. If needing to ask such questions, though, I would I consider purchasing a kit that's been validated for the best chance of "plug and play" overclocking.
