Network device Issue on new 9800X3D + B850-F Build

Hi,

We're having an almost identical problem to Devastator0 here: https://rog-forum.asus.com/t5/gaming-motherboards/network-amp-audio-devices-issue-on-new-9800x3d-b85...

The ethernet terminal reports that it's functioning but there is no activity at the terminal - no lights, no data - the device reports an unplugged cable where it isn't.
The mobo was returned to vendor who tested it with a different os, cpu and gpu (no idea which) and could not replicate the fault, so returned it as functional. The os has been rebuilt again and there is still no activity on the ethernet terrminal, I've had to use a USB multiport device to achieve a connection using the same ethernet cable I tried in the mobo terminal.
Folowing on from the advice provided for Devastator0 I cleared CMOS (again), verified that fastboot is disabled, pulled out my remaining hair and started on my beard.

Specs:

CPU: Ryzen 7 9800X3D
Mobo: Asus ROG Strix B850-F Gaming Wifi running the 1087 BIOS version and Asus DriverHub to ensure latest drivers.
PSU: Seasonic Focus 1000w Gold
RAM: Kingston Fury Beast 32GB (2x 16GB) KF556C36BBEK2-32DDR5 5600MT/s CL36-38-38

GPU: NVidia TUF-RTX5070-012G-GAMING 90YV0LZ0-M0NA00
M2: 2TB WD Black SN7100 2TB

SysInfo and DXDiag are here:

I've rebuilt a Win11Pro os twice on the machine, ensured that it has all of the latest available drivers from Asus DriverHub. I've never experienced a more troublesome device in 30+ years of building PC's, it's maddening.

I need a resolution. The other thread from Devastator0 has been closed without any additional dialogue beyond advice to clear CMOS and disable Fastboot, so I'm waiting with bated breath.

In the absence of a response and after further searching I came across a few similar complaints on Reddit and other forums. Most were Asus B850 mobos of differing sub-types but in each case there is the same LAN hardware - Intel I226-V, which seemed too coincidental.
In these cases, users were complaining that the pc would not connect to an older device but had no issue with newer options. Since my lab has an old unmanaged 100Mbps switch for testing equipment I removed it an installed a new Netgear unit purchased for a client. Instant connection from the device LAN terminal!

So there you have it - any issues with Intel I226-V not connecting, try connecting to a newer LAN or WAN interface
