My ROG STRIX B550-F GAMING WIFI II doesn't have Bluetooth

Hello, I'm having issues trying to enable Bluetooth on my motherboard. The Wi-Fi works perfectly, but I have tried numerous solutions from forums for my Bluetooth problem without success.

Things to consider:

  • There is no Bluetooth hardware listed in the Windows Device Manager.
  • The Wi-Fi antenna is properly installed on my motherboard.
  • The Wi-Fi 6 functionality works perfectly.
  • Both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are active in the BIOS.

Things I have tried so far:

💮Downloading drivers from Armoury Crate: This software only allows me to install drivers like Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and Chipset updates. The Bluetooth option simply does not appear in the Armoury Crate software.

💮Downloading drivers from the ASUS Official Website: When I start the asussetup.exe wizard, nothing happens. Initially, I thought the setup was a silent installation, but even with administrator permissions, my Bluetooth device remains unrecognized. I also tried installing the drivers through Device Manager, but it returns the message:

"mtkbtfilter.inf: Successfully added oem92.inf and installed on 0 device(s)"

I believe the "0 device(s)" message is because the Bluetooth is not being recognized by Device Manager, so even after this installation, there are no traces of Bluetooth.

💮BIOS Update: I tried the latest version and the penultimate version.

💮CMOS Clear: After clearing the CMOS, there was still no trace of Bluetooth, so I also tried a second CMOS clear followed by a BIOS Flashback with the latest BIOS version.

💮Inverting the cables of the antenna: The same result—only the Wi-Fi functionality works.

💮Internet Solution: I found a solution on internet forums that involved turning off the PSU, pressing the power button to "release static energy," and theoretically, after a few minutes, turning on the PC should make the Bluetooth device appear in Device Manager. Unfortunately, this solution also did not work for me.

Can someone help me with this? I'm about to give up

Hello, @leyvaf

We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the delayed response.
May I ask if the issue with the Bluetooth function disappearing occurred immediately after the PC's first build, or did it appear after some time or specific software or hardware changes, such as after six months of usage and occasional reboots?
Have you tried running the Bluetooth Troubleshooter?
Kindly go through all the steps mentioned in [Motherboard] How to solve the Bluetooth problem of the motherboard? and verified the correct hardware installation as per the user manual, and checked if the troubleshooting guidance helped.
If the issue persists, we recommend contacting the dealer or ASUS customer service to arrange for motherboard repair and further hardware inspection.

Thank you.

Due to the ongoing regional holidays, my responses may be slightly delayed.
Thank you in advance for your patience 🙂
