I’ve made 2 almost identical PC builds in 2023 (the difference is in GPU only):
1) ASUS ROG STRIX B760-F GAMING WIFI;
3) WD_BLACK SN770 NVMe SSD 2 TB High-Performance NVMe SSD, Gaming, PCIe Gen4, M.2 2280;
5) Corsair RM850x Shift 850W Full Modular 80 Plus Gold PC PSU;
6) Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black;
7) GPU Asus GeForce RTX 4070 12GB GDDR6X ProArt OC Edition Graphics Card and Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4070 12GB GDDR6X Windforce OC
😎 CORSAIR iCUE 4000X RGB Mid-Tower ATX;
9) Windows 11 Pro; all updates installed.
10) ESET Smart Security Premium is on board.
Starting from December 2024 both PC started sporadically auto turn off during load or without load. After such auto turn off you cannot switch PC on. Only after some time it’s possible to switch on PC again.
What already was done:
1) BIOS, Intel ME, drivers were updated.
2) CPU on both systems was tested using Intel® Processor Diagnostic Tool - no problems were revealed. https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/15951/intel-processor-diagnostic-tool.html
3) RAM was tested with MemTest86 - no issues.
4) I used another build with Rog Strix Z790-F gaming WIFI, RAM 64GB, PSU 1000W to test CPU, RAM, SSD and as donor of components - all components work fine on Rog Strix Z790-F Gaming WIFI, while system based on B760-F Gaming WiFi sporadically auto turn off during load or without load.
Any idea what shall be done further to eliminate the problem?
Thank you in advance.

Hello @alex4998
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Could you clarify under what circumstances the intermittent automatic shutdown and failure to restart began occurring? For example, did this issue arise after a system update or the installation of a new SSD?
How long do you need to wait before you can power the system back on? Is there a specific method required to restart the system successfully?
Does the problem only occur within the operating system, or does it also happen in the BIOS? Have you encountered the same issue while running the system in Safe Mode?
After rebooting, do you see any error codes or logs in Event Viewer, Reliability Monitor, or Minidump?
We recommend referring to the [Windows 11/10] Troubleshooting - Automatic Shutdown/Restart Issues guide for further steps. Additionally, if possible, please try removing all SSDs and cross-testing with a different system drive.
Thank you.

Dear Jiaszzz_ROG,
Please find my comments in italic below
Could you clarify under what circumstances the intermittent automatic shutdown and failure to restart began occurring? For example, did this issue arise after a system update or the installation of a new SSD? Both systems were build in 2023 and were working fine till December 2024. In December 2024 both systems were not up-to-date (BIOS, drivers, Intel ME, etc) and started to shut down. As part of the solution all updates (BIOS, drivers, Intel ME, etc) were installed but systems continued to shutdown, it became even worse. Systems components remained the same, nothing changed during this period.
How long do you need to wait before you can power the system back on? Sometimes couple of minutes, sometimes couple of hours. There is no definitive pattern.
Is there a specific method required to restart the system successfully? System mainly restarts using CMOS Reset button (50%). Another 10% system can be started with the on/off button or (40%) cannot be started at all (you have to wait some period of time as described above).
Does the problem only occur within the operating system, or does it also happen in the BIOS? It happen in BIOS as well. So, let's say I managed to start/restart PC, enter BIOS and stay in BIOS. After some time system auto-switch off. All the time after the shutdown system cannot boot as normal but requires to enter BIOS. So it's not related to OS, as far as I understand.
Have you encountered the same issue while running the system in Safe Mode? After some period of time it became impossible to boot Windows at all as system shuts down in BIOS/during POST.
After rebooting, do you see any error codes or logs in Event Viewer, Reliability Monitor, or Minidump? Event Viewer shows Kernel power 41 (63) error in most of the cases. I've changed power saving settings as recommended by some users as a possible solution - nothing helped.
We recommend referring to the [Windows 11/10] Troubleshooting - Automatic Shutdown/Restart Issues guide for further steps. Additionally, if possible, please try removing all SSDs and cross-testing with a different system drive. Already done, behavior is the same.
BTW, when system shuts down I can hear a click. Hard to say if it's from motherboard or PSU, but all PSUs were cross-tested and 2 faulty systems do not work with any of 3 available PSUs. Not-faulty system works fine with all 3 PSU.
Thank you for your input.
