Maximus Z790 Hero motherboard turn off integrated and PCIE network cards

Hello,

I'm currently trying to use WOL on my computer, I already used it 1 or 2 years ealier with a different Windows version on a different disk.
But now I can't use it because both my network cards are turned off when the computer is shutdown.
We could then think the problem comes from windows but doesn't PCIE slot powering come from the motherboard itself ?

I checked most of the topics about WOL, does a BIOS or Firmware update would help ?
I'll provide my config later.

Thanks.

Hello @Alpagaffeur

Thank you for reaching out to us.
Based on your description, may I confirm if you had previously set up WOL on your ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO in the past year or two, but it is no longer functioning? Did this issue arise after replacing the system drive?
If so, we recommend following the steps outlined in [Motherboard] How to set and enable WOL (Wake On LAN) function in BIOS to reconfigure the settings in both the BIOS and the OS.
Please ensure that the relevant drivers are updated to the latest versions available on the ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO support page and consider updating the BIOS to version 2801, released on December 6, 2024, before verifying the functionality.
If you encounter difficulties during the steps above, we recommend sharing the complete specifications of your hardware and software setup, providing screenshots or videos of your configuration may also help us better understand the issue.

Thank you.

Due to the local holidays, my responses may be slightly delayed.
For any urgent cases, we recommend reaching out to your local service center for further assistance. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
