MAXIMUS Z790 DARK HERO AIO PUMP RGB PROBLEM

Hello, is it possible that after the last bios update 1704 there were problems with rgb?
My liquid cooling and pump of EK drgb lux 360 have some problems with the led backlight, it is rather static, and only the small logo at the bottom is in rainbow mode
The fans work normally with normal argb backlight

After the update, it works normally, when I turn on the xmp or some settings, in an instant it becomes static LED backlight
I turn off the rgb cable, turn it on, for 30 seconds it works normally then static again

Also during the game the RGB backlight was changing, now it has no effect

When changing the settings from armoury, only the fans change color, the pump does not accept these settings in any way

Hi!
Try downloading the Armoury Crate Uninstall Tool (https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-maximus/rog-maximus-z790-dark-hero/helpdesk_download/) from the Asus website and uninstalling Armoury Crate. And then install Armoury Crate again.

No change.
If it was just Armoury, a reboot should have fixed it.
I was running Linux when I noticed this.
I'm more worried it's the 1703/1704 bios update.
Otherwise it can't be anything other than the pump.

Hello @adrifoxbg

Thank you for reaching out to us.
Based on the situation you described, considering that the ROG MAXIMUS Z790 DARK HERO Tech Specs page lists support for Windows® 11 and Windows® 10 64-bit, this indicates that the drivers and software are compatible with these operating system versions.
Based on this, we recommend cross-testing with a different version of the Windows operating system to see if there is any change in the behavior of the RGB lighting.

Thank you.

Exactly!
This option worked even with this same cooling.
Under Linux it never works, but under Windows it is a bit surprising that it doesn't happen.
Windows itself has a Dynamic Lighting option, I disable it but it has no effect.
The fans are in argb mode, even the small round logo at the bottom is in argb mode, but not this circle on the pump that rotates, it stays static.
When starting the game everything glowed in neon gray or blue I can't exactly determine, now it's clear about the pump, but even the fans are in argb mode.
I have to try with Windows 10

What is more surprising is that even when turning on the computer sometimes the pump is static again, other times not.
I am interested to see the next bios update.
Obviously something is happening with the pump which is an EK 360 DRGB LUX

Another thing off topic, but it might be the cause of a similar problem, Vali installed everything for me, but I had to see what was going on with the pump and I saw that there was a lot of thermal paste, unfortunately I have small spots of paste on the socket again, many people are giving me advice to clean it, but I don't dare, unlike the motto on my motherboard
In my opinion, nothing is crooked, but it's dirty

Thank God they are not conductive pastes
I am now using Thermal Grizzly Kryonat

Please give me your professional opinion.

By the way, the effects in games are now working, except for the pump of course, I think the reason is clear.

Hi!
Bios version 1801 has been released, try it may solve your problem or add new ones.))

Yes, I already updated
No change.
It's most likely from the pump itself because with the other RGB effects there is no problem
And more precisely with the RGB of the pump, because with the cooling there are no problems
