Hi,
Im writing post because one of experienced forum user suggested to post here about mine (and many others) problems with LAN (drivers or module on MOBO) Realtek Ethernet. Ill attach link to forum where we talked about it and You will see how many people trying to fix it. Before You ask question about contacting support, we already did, i've contacted support by phone and support ticket , but in both ways they said that there is no reported problem about LAN and they are not aware of this problem.
Problem is with packet loss and internet speed. I've tested it in 3 or 4 games but perfect example is in Warzone. Drivers from ASUS website Realtek LAN causes 10-12 % packet loss (it's all the time, it's not like You play it's 0 and it jumps. When match starts You can see already 10 % packet loss. Downloading speed? My internet is 1000/1000 and on laptop or console it's always 970-1000+ both on download or upload, when i do speed tests on PC when using Ethernet ? Speed is maximum 600 and huge packet loss so even website don't want to load. On WIFI everything works just fine but hey... I have cable to use it 😄
I tried many Realtek LAN drivers, from Windows 10/11, old 2015-2024 nothing seems to work. Slightly better on Windows drivers that computer downloads automaticly by Windows Update. Then packet loss is around 3-5% but still not playable...
What im running right now:
-Bios 0606 up to date. Tried on previous BIOS but it didnt't help, same issue
-Windows 11 Pro 64bit up to date. Tried to return one of previous versions but it didn't help at all
-Rog Strix x870e-e gaming
-Tried on 2 different ethernet cables but that's not issue , router also
Now we are all thinking, where problem is? Is it motherboards we bought that are ,,faulty"? I don't think we all bought faulty MOBOs, not only x870e-e from Rog Strix but also on forum people with x870 Hero has same problem. Some people returned MOBO and took Gigabyte or AsRock and problem disappears, despite they are using exactly same Realtek driver.
I tried literally everything to make it work, but nothing seems to help. I think it's MOBO issue but hope that this is thing that can be fixed with BIOS fix or drivers? What You guys think?
Ive already contacted shop that i have this problem and they can easily take it for RMA and i won't hesitate but ill give one more chance here maybe someone or proper people can find solution for this problem. On monday next week 25.11.2024 im scheduled with shop to return it but until then maybe we can find solution together!
Asus please do something 🙂
Here is link for forum i was talking about:

Similar issue for me. Tried the following drivers:
1126.16.1121.2023 (newest driver on ASUS website) - Packet loss
1126.21.903.2024 (newest driver you can find in this forum) - Packet loss
10.73.815.2024 (newest Windows 10 driver that has been recommended when you have problems) - Packet loss
Standard Windows Driver (9.1.412.2015) - No issues for me. With this driver, 2.5 Gbit/s is max though and WoL does not work with it.
Also contacted ASUS support about it (E24110026198)
So please check it ASUS, this is a general problem.

Hello @PannDeth
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Regarding the other thread, it was initially posted in a non-ROG Care section, which is why I wasn't involved in the discussion at first.
It has now been moved to ROG Care by another moderator, and I will catch up on the details of the thread as soon as possible.
As you described, this is not a known issue and may require some time to gather the necessary context and report it to our backend team for investigation. It is unlikely that a solution will be provided before next Monday.
If the motherboard was recently purchased and is subject to a return deadline, please consider whether you'd like to provide additional context to assist with the investigation or seek return assistance from your retailer.
Thank you.

Thank You for reply and information that it will be investigated! I bought it 27.10.2024 but in Norway there is 50 days to return and 2 years with extended to 5 years warranty. To be honest i’d love to keep this motherboard as rest things they are working perfectly and i really enjoy design etc. I can help with investigation and try to provide as many informations as You need. If there really won’t be any fix they ill consider returning it instantly as we still have some time. Just let me know if anything is needed that i can provide.
Have a great day!

Hello @PannDeth
We noticed that you have also joined the discussion thread.
To avoid any potential information gaps or misunderstandings, we recommend focusing on replying to that thread.
And Hello all,
Regarding the situations both of you described, our initial tests were unable to reproduce the packet loss issue.
Therefore, we will need more detailed information about the specific circumstances and frequency of occurrence.
Kindly share the requested information in the context of that discussion thread.
Thank you.

Hi @Jiaszzz_ROG
Thanks for taking over and sorry, I did not know that there is a separate ROG Care section. But you will find all details in the other thread nevertheless. I also already opened a case if that's helpful (E24110026198). I will let you review the thread and will wait for anything new. Thanks for helping us out!

I also have this same problem. With the latest drivers the pc would boot and was fine for maybe 10 mins. Then the package loss started to appear and increase with time.
I rolled back drivers and windows put some on dated 2015. This seems to have fixed the issue for me but I'm still worried that it's maybe not as it should be and effecting my online gaming experience.
It's just hassle sending things back and I'd also have to buy a new windows license....
For reference I bought in the UK

I get severe stuttering when playing Tekken 8 online. Matches are unplayable, people are constantly rqing me. You want to test a game to see if your board is working right? This is an easy one.
I just came off a Gigabyte b550i Ryzen 5800X3D system using the same OpenNAT settings and had ZERO issues.

After a few hours in VRChat, I've started to notice the people I'm with are jerkily moving around sometimes, though their mikes come in fine. People have said my Beyond mic is cutting out constantly.

Even when I turn off OpenNAT stuff, I still have problems. On the stock settings on my motherboard with cpu, IF and ram, I still have problems! This is a $700 motherboard, how did y'all ship this in this condition? I even read on amazon that the X670e models had this issue. How is that possible???
