I also opened a case (E24110026198-0001), but maybe someone experiences the same problems. My new X870E-E (newest 0606 BIOS) has problems with the internal LAN adapter. Currently it's connected via Gigabit connection, but that shouldn't cause problems, at least would be very bad if you would have to connect it via 5 Gb/s LAN. It seems to work normally at first, a speed test maxes out my internet connection (1000/500) and ping also is good in speed test. While playing online games, I got massive packet loss issues (while having jumping ping times), competive games are unplayable. When I try to use WiFi or external USB LAN adapter the problems are gone. So I uninstalled the current ASUS LAN driver V1126.16.1121.2023 and let Windows install a driver, which is way older. But with this old driver everything works fine. I can reproduce the problem, when installing new driver again the packet loss problems reappear.
Does someone have similar problems with the new driver? What could that be?

Then we also do have different issues. I have no issues at all with default windows driver. Nevertheless, ASUS has to check that. Please also open a case at ASUS even if you return your board.

I will report to asus. I think my lan chip is basically DOA.
I also ran internet testing. With correct driver, I’m getting 22-25% packet loss and generic driver 12-15% loss.

Yeah the board is dog poop, also has windows 11 issues with BSOD with newest update to the point that windows doesnt allow you to update to it. Same issue with the Asus Hero x870e board. So I am just going to return mine to the microcenter tomm and get a Gigabyte or Asrock board, screw Asus.

Yeah no way Asus did not know about this HUGE problem with the Realtek NIC/Drivers on all these x870e boards. They knew and they pushed them out anyway. Ill never purchase another Asus product.

If you don't have an Intel NIC you won't need the driver.
My reproducible packet loss results. Doesn't look like much, but Online Gaming is not possible. Even if Ping times do look the same. No issues with standard driver and Gigabit connection for me, though. ASUS, you'll need to do something.

No Issue here with my x870e hero...
Total Packet Loss: 0.00%
Upload Packet Loss: 0.00%
Download Packet Loss: 0.00%
Late Packet Rate: 0.00%
Average Latency: 85.97ms
Average Jitter: 0.28ms
Test Settings:
Duration: 10 seconds
Frequency: 15 pings/second
Average Size: 220 bytes
Acceptable Delay: 200ms
You do realise that in your screens that the box for Wait 2 seconds before recording box is ticked on one result and not the other ???
This skews the results.....
