LAN Problems with ROG STRIX X870E-E and 9800X3D - Massive Packet Loss

I also opened a case (E24110026198-0001), but maybe someone experiences the same problems. My new X870E-E (newest 0606 BIOS) has problems with the internal LAN adapter. Currently it's connected via Gigabit connection, but that  shouldn't cause problems, at least would be very bad if you would have to connect it via 5 Gb/s LAN. It seems to work normally at first, a speed test maxes out my internet connection (1000/500) and ping also is good in speed test. While playing online games, I got massive packet loss issues (while having jumping ping times), competive games are unplayable. When I try to use WiFi or external USB LAN adapter the problems are gone. So I uninstalled the current ASUS LAN driver V1126.16.1121.2023 and let Windows install a driver, which is way older. But with this old driver everything works fine. I can reproduce the problem, when installing new driver again the packet loss problems reappear.

Does someone have similar problems with the new driver? What could that be?

I have the same problem and that's unfortunatelly is a problem with Realtek Lan adapter itself. I spend hours looking for a solution and this porblem appeared for last around 10 years with whole Realtek Family Controler series. There is no solution for that. I'm running on WiFi right now but that's not a solution. I believe that's might be a conflict between Realtek and Windows. They will need to work together and try to find the problem but like we all know it's not gonna happen... I'm a bit disapointed to have a problem like that on high end motherboard.

As I said there is at least a workaround. Just use Windows default driver. I think only issue is, that default driver supports max. 2.5 Gbit/s, if you planned to use 5 Gbit/s.

.... Okej Microsoft sam zainstalował jednak to niewiele dało... Dalej w Warzone stały 4% packet loss i niegrywalne. Juz serio nie wiem co zrobić 😞

Yeah unfortunately the Microsoft driver doesn't work for me. With the latest Realtek driver, i get 40 Mbps down and major packet loss. With the Microsoft driver I get 400 Kbps down and major packet loss. For a $500 dollar high end board, this is unacceptable. *Note the Wifi driver/antenna work just fine at 1.2Gbps down and no major packet loss or anything noticeable while gaming on wifi 6g (my router doesnt have wifi 7).

Okay, that's not the same issue I have. I have Full Speed with Realtek Driver, but mentioned Packet Loss. With Microsoft driver, I have no issues at all. Using Gigabit connection.

With Microsoft Driver i have also issues. Speed is nearly full but still 4-5% packet loss. Realtek is 8-9% packet loss. Still unplayable ;/

Im having this same problem. the base microsoft driver isn't very good and wifi isn't a temporary or permanent solution for me. What is our best solution?

What's the problem with base driver? You could try an external ethernet adapter for now. And open a case at ASUS that they are aware of this general issue.

With the stock windows driver, I’m getting 1gb speeds which is the speed of my internet however, I’m unable to play any online based game. I don’t have software to test packet loss but that is my guess.

with the actual driver, computer is BSOD’s often along with basically no internet. Takes 10 minutes to load google . Com.

im leaning to a return and buy a new one or up to the hero either which has the intel mic and this realtek.
