Hi there,
well I have quite an unusual issue I would say. I updated my bios from 1801 to 2301. Everything went smooth yesterday until this morning. When I turned on my PC, first I thought it was stuck at the Boot Screen (Press F2 or DEL for entering bios), when my wife called me to help her out with stuff. When I came back W11 was there. I thought my PC needed to sort some stuff out after the update.
So I shut down the PC and went for a walk with my family. After 3 hours I booted up my PC and again the PC seemed to be stuck at the Asus Logo. This time I waited and did nothing. After around 3 minutes my PC continued booting into windows and everything was fine. Did some restarts which went perfectly. I again turned my PC off and had dinner. 30+ minutes later turned my PC on again and tada boot took ages again. After it booted into Windows I checked the Bios time in the Task Manager and it said a whopping 238 seconds. This has to be a new record.
Just for the fun of I rolled back to 1801 and everything runs smooth. Did several cold boots and no isues so far. I did 10 colds starts at the average Bios Time was 20,38 seconds, which seems normal according to google.
What can it be that 2301 kinda screws up my cold boots?
Running a i513600k, 32 DDR5 Corsair Vengeance with XMP I to 6000 MhZ and a 1TB nvme ssd from corsair. GPU is an Asus TUF 3080TI

Hi @Sepp0rl
First things first:
1. Remove all devices from the IO and see if the issue persists.
2. Clear CMOS via the rear IO panel and then retest. Do not enable XMP.

Hi @Sepp0rl , just sharing that this Task Manager time is not always correct. I have put my computer to Hybernate a couple of times without doing a RESTART (Soft Boot) or SHUTDOWN and then POWER ON using the power button on the case (Cold Boot). In this couple of wakeups from Hybernation state my Task Manager showed me a whopping 441 seconds of BIOS time which is I know is not correct as I do not recall waiting at all. I have Windows Fast Boot enabled but ASUS BIOS Fast Boot Disabled as well as ASUS Logo Display in BIOS disabled as well. See below
After I did a RESTART (Soft Boot), I saw this time as now 20 seconds. See below
I am not saying that you are not having long delays. All I am trying to help you out with is that this Windows time is not what and I understand well yet. You are better of using a traditional stop watch to see how much time it takes for Windows to get ready.
I also would like to understand what screen is showing that is taking longer. Do you see the screen with ASUS ROG Logo with 3 keyboard shortcuts like DEL and F2 to enter BIOS, EZBIOS for F3, USB UEFI for F4? Or do you see the ASUS ROG logo with a loading spinner under it that keeps going in circles?
