Hi,
I recently bought a new PC and I'm currently thinking about expanding my audio setup. I own a Sonos Ray, connected to my MOBO via S/PDIF and a pair of Eris 3.5 monitors currently running from Line Out. I want to expand that setup with Eris 8 Sub. Here's my question - as mentioned my MOBO is an Asus Crosshair X670E Hero, on the website it says that it has "quad DAC" ESS ES9218 (tells me nothing) and a ALC4082 codec with up to 32-bit 384 kHz audio resolution (also tells me nothing) - can I just connect 3.5mm to RCA from Line Out to subwoofer and then RCA to RCA from subwoofer to monitors?
Is this going to work without distortion or any problems or do I need a dedicated DAC for this setup?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, @Chaoson
Regarding the setup, could you please clarify if you intend to use a 3.5mm audio cable to connect the gold-plated audio jacks on the rear panel of the motherboard and output the audio to the Eris 8 Sub Subwoofer?
And may I ask how it is connected to the monitor? Could you clarify the brand and model of the monitor, as well as share more detailed setup requirements?
Thank you.
