Intermittent B1 code after installing used GPU

A friend gifted me their Nvidia RTX 3060Ti 8GB. About 25% of the time when I power on the computer from shutdown, the mobo reads "b1" and gets stuck on the Asus logo for 1-2 minutes. Then, it gets to the login screen and works fine.

Most of the time it boots quickly in less than a minute with no issues, just like I did with my old Nvidia GPU. But I'm concerned that I'm getting this b1 code 25% of the time.

I tried reducing down my RAM from DDR-1600 to DDR3-1333 thinking maybe it's a RAM issue, but still getting the b1. I also ran MemTest86 and passed with no errors.

Based on your description, the Q-code B1 issue started appearing after installing the GPU and did not occur before that.
In addition to checking if the GPU is properly installed and avoiding the use of extension cables or adapters, we recommend confirming whether your current BIOS version is up to date and if clearing CMOS resolves the issue.
Please also ensure that the BIOS, GPU drivers, and VBIOS are all updated to the latest versions, and check if any adjustments to CSM are needed in the BIOS.
If possible, we suggest cross-testing with other PCIe slots or GPUs.
