Hi,
excuse me for posting yet another message on the subject but now I absolutely don't know what to do anymore, I can't find the solution at all and I'm rather in a hurry.
I had some small problems since the last Windows 11 update a week ago, and I got fed up so I decided to do a fresh install on my PC.
Here is the configuration of this PC:
- i9 14900F
-ASUS ROG Z690E gaming wifi
-64gb RAM DDR5
-NVME 1TB for the system
-SSD 1TB for some of my files (so only storage)
-HDD 4TB for my files (also only storage)
I specify first of all that I have been looking for the solution for 3 days and that I have tried many things.
So the problem is that when I try to install Windows 11, or even Windows 10, using bootable USB sticks created from my MacBook (I should point out that the .iso files are not corrupted and that I have checked the Hash several times), knowing that I have remade these keys SEVERAL times in case the problem comes from there, I encounter the error "select the driver to install" and there I can do NOTHING. I went to the manufacturer's website for my motherboard which is here: https://rog.asus.com/fr/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-z690-e-gaming-wifi-model/helpdesk_download/ and I literally downloaded ALL the drivers that I put on another USB stick that I then connected to the PC and tried manually to install these drivers but nothing works, none of them work. I feel like I can't find the driver that is causing the installation problem.
I tried to re-enable Intel Rapid Storage Technology in my BIOS, then to re-disable it, still nothing.
When I do a Diskpart in the console, I can find my NVME on which I have to install Windows.
I also specify that when I try to install, apart from the Windows USB and the USB where the drivers are, there is only my mouse and keyboard plugged in, as well as my Ethernet cable
Every time I try to install a driver, I get a message that says "No new device driver has been detected...".
I don't know what to do anymore. I need help please it's urgent I absolutely need my PC to be in working order tomorrow
PS: sorry for the duplicate, I posted the same message on Reddit

Hello zazoushi
I might try disconnecting all drives except your NVME drive.
While your pc is powered down, press and hold the clear cmos button for 3 seconds.
Then, try installing windows again. You shouldn't need any drivers, so just put windows on the usb flash drive.
If windows still doesn't want to install, try a different usb port.

thanks for your reply. I just tried unplugging my SSD and HDD leaving only my NVME and I still get the missing driver request

Sorry to hear you're still having trouble.
I find it unusual that you'd need a driver during windows installation.
During the windows setup, delete ALL partitions on your NVMe, then try installing windows.
You could try using the microsoft windows media creation tool on a windows pc and see if that works.
Use the 2nd option - Download Windows 11
Make sure your usb flash drive is formatted to the .FAT32 file system.

Im gonna try to create a bootable USB with the media creation tool.
regarding the current installation of Windows 11 with what I currently have, the fact is that I can't access the screen to select the disk on which I want to install Windows because of the phase where it asks me for a missing media driver that I can't find

Yes, try the media creation tool, this is what I use to install windows.
Let us know how it goes.

I managed to put Windows 10 pro back!!!! I used UnetBootIn rather than balenaEtcher on mac to create the bootable key and it worked DIRECTLY. It seems that I was going around in circles because of this ****** bootable key. I used exactly the same iso but I think unetbootIn made it in FAT32 while BalenaEtcher used another file system. Or maybe it just made the key very badly. I'm going to start from there to go back to Windows 11 and I'll keep you posted 🙂

Excellent !
Windows 11 should go well too, give us an update anytime.

OK, I created a bootable usb with the media creation tool using my freshly installed and updated windows 10, but as I expected, impossible to install it: the usb is unstable for some reason. I will try to create a usb of Windows 11 23H2 with my MacBook using UnetBootIn and try the direct installation. Otherwise I will stay on Windows 10 thanks to my first created USB key
