I have tried two ASUS motherboards. ASUS ROG STRIX Z790-E and ASUS ROG MAXIMUS HERO Z790 EVA-02
ASUS ROG STRIX Z790-E
1. When I installed two memory modules, it gives me a error code 55 which is no memory installed even though there is a stick in the slot. I have tried another stick and same thing happens
2. I have taken out 1 stick of memory and it boots up fine. I put the stick back in and it shows the 55 error code. I took out both sticks of memory and reinsert until it clicked in.
3. I checked all my connections and everything is plugged in correctly.
4. I looked at the mounting of the cpu cooler and everything is correct.
5. I updated to the latest bios version. It already clear cmos back to default settings after I updated bios.
ASUS ROG MAXIMUS HERO EVA-02 EDITION
1. It was giving the same error code 55
2. I took out the memory sticks and reinsert. It clicked so it was in the slot. I tried another stick and same thing happen

Hello @briblo1982
Thank you for reaching out to us.
Regarding the Z790-E model, could you kindly confirm whether your current full model is ROG STRIX Z790-E GAMING WIFI or ROG STRIX Z790-E GAMING WIFI II?
On the Intel platform, encountering boot issues along with Q-Code 55 generally indicates a memory-related problem.
May we ask if the memory modules you are currently using are listed in the QVL for the specific model of your motherboard? Are both memory modules from the same kit? Please provide the part number for each memory module individually, such as CMK32GX5M2B6400C32 (Ver 5.43.01).
Additionally, we recommend checking the CPU socket for any potential bent pins, or signs that the CPU may be seated too loosely or too tightly, as this could also contribute to related errors.
Thank you.

it is the ROG STRIX 790-E GAMING WIFI. I have checked the asus compatibility with memory and it is compatible. I took it to a repair shop and they said they were bent cpu pins on the socket. Is that covered in the warranty?
