Hi there, I have a brand new PC with the following ASUS ROG STRIX Z790-E GAMING WIFI II (LGA 1700, Intel Z790, ATX) and Adobe Support wants me to disable AI Overclocking in the BIOS. Reason: Adobe Creative Cloud products crashing.
Is this a valid solution and can anybody please point me to a guide how to do so?
Thanks, Christa

Hello @christae
Can you confirm what BIOS version you're running? Please ensure you're using 1503 from the support site.
AI Overclocking is not enabled by default and needs to be done so manually. If there is stability issues when running Creative Cloud, then yes, Adobe's suggestion to disable AI OC is a valid one.

Thank you @Silent_Scone ! As per you information I have rechecked and overclocking was never activiated. So it can't be the reason for my problems. The one thing I can check next is the BIOS version, but I can't really believe that causes the problems with the Adobe products.

No problem. Ensure XMP is disabled also and update to 1503 from the support site. Report back if you're still experiencing difficulty 👍

@Silent_Scone thanks but that's out of my "knowledge zone"; What is XMP? and if I have never touched the bios, would it be enabled?

Is the system a prebuild or did you build it yourself? XMP is not enabled by default, no.

I had it built for me, but I didn't built it myself. I have just checked the XMP setting, and it's disabled as well.
Could it be that my Bios version is 0220? Then I would to update I guess and would follow that guide, correct? : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7q6c2PaZ6Y

Yes, you can use USB Flashback. 1503 contains the microcode fix from Intel that fixes boost behaviour, as well as "Intel Baseline" profiles. These are enabled by default. As per my previous post, best to update to 1503.
